I'd like to help Richard to make this forum more serious and welcome for Queen fans who are interesting not only in list of Freddie's lovers, thoughts about John Deacon's retirement etc. So you may call it as a guide for newbies or whatever. If you need to know anything about Queen/Solo concerts (where, when, what, has been recorded or not, tickets' images, fan stories, who joined Queen on stage, some other little details etc.) check Martin's (a.k.a. Mr Scully) site: link If you want to know accurate and complete lyrics of any Queen/Solo songs (including from live shows officialy released as audio or video recording - what have Freddie said between songs, what does woman says over the phone in the end of 'Dancer' etc.) check Ian's or Andy Young (his site contains lyrics to miscellaneous songs also - like 'Picking Up Sounds') pages: link link If you need in details of any released Queen/Solo albums, singles in any format (LP, CD, 12", 7", VHS) - you have to go again to Andy's site for his giant discography database. And for fans who can't find chart positions of Queen/Solo songs that site will help too (as well as previously named UltimateQueen). If you're looking for any info about videos and would like to know something like if is there any difference between GVHII and GFII versions of 'Breakthru' check: link If you would like to know what is 'Freddie's Millions' or any other Queen's film about, what's the difference between the FM tribute on DVD and VHS check again UltimateQueen. If you still think that Roger wrote Innuendo or you need to know who played what on Queen records, what equipment they used then your way goes to Sebastian: link If you're interested in database of all existing versions of Queen/Solo songs you can check details on: link link If you would like to read reviews of all Queen/Solo albums with quotes by Queen's members and would like to know more about how some of songs were recorded (info provided by Philipp) - go to: link If you're looking for sleeves, collecting items, prices and other merchandise check: link link If you want to know the list of books about Queen check these ones: link link If you want to find something else about Queen you need to check: link Mp3s are present on some of these sites too. But if you still need in some of them check Rien's: link If you want to read on all of Queen's known recordings between 1970 and 1979 - Ultimate Queen Anthology by John S. Stuart, with future installments still to come (hopefully!), then check out the threads within this Lester's thread: link And if you want to know about the British press bastards check: link :-) And please remember one simple thing: it's much easier to learn how to read than ask someone to read something for you! Cheers, Serry |

Lisser: NO sorry I do not have a web site. I have neither the time - or the technical acumen, and I also view this zone as my "spiritual" home. However if someone wants to make an offer - I would like to make a site as either a part of this/or linked to Queenzone. There are many advantages here. But the main one is the freedom of speech (yes - I have been edited and deleted from Queen-Online) to discuss (and sometimes even argue) our points of view. This is where the "real learning" occurs, therefore, I would not like to set up a rival "station" as I am very happy here. |

Great guide. I ahve been a fan for many years but do not have the time or inclination to trawl through google for information. |

Great idea! Yeah, I think it should be made sticky as well! |

Sometimes when the experts here get into very detailed debates about obscurities, I wish you would put all this info into a Queen Wiki. I just put that out there as a formatting thought, to save all these links to threads. --Egret |

Thanks for the useful links. I generally agree but...don't you all think you're being a bit too strict? I mean, this is a place to get together and share our passion for Queen. It's not a classroom where one is judged if he/she hasn't studied hard enough! Posts like these really scare some people off as to what they can or cannot post. Fairy |
