I would guess so.
I just got an email from Brixton academy itself offering upto 2 tickets for academy subcribers like myself. (nothing to do with QOL or QFC).
Not sure how it works but it says tickets come on sale at 3pm.
I don't need them as I've already got, but sure there are people who need them! link and subscribe, not sure if the first mail is automatic though.
It looks very much this way. I won on Monday, and was amazed that Stalls Standing was still available. Actually, winning the lottery this late in the day surprised me.
I think the nature of the great Lottery system didn't help much.
You know, Stuss, I don't realy care anymore. Today I freaked out even more, but at the moment I'm just feeling numb.
Read Scully's 'fucking Brixton' threat if you want to know why!
i got offered the tickets aswell but im refusing the offer. Hyde park and wembley is enough for me i worry that i might get sick of seeing the in that short space of time.
I start to think that I don't give aflying fuck about this aprticular gig anymore... Got 5 more to go to, Hyde park will be sixth... Fuck Brixton, even if it's only one (!) tube stop from where I live...
Having said taht I tried the link- worked. After filling everything and submittimg the order it says the card is not supported or valid... funny- five gigs bought and was fine... :S
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON THERE!!!
I really find this hard to believe and refer to Mr Scully's thread on the whole Brixton ticket debacle. I'm beginning to wonder how they can realistically expect to play 10000-seater venues across Europe if they can't even sell 4500 tickets for the much anticipated opening night of the tour. Admittedly, Brixton has never really been promoted but it makes you wonder whether Hyde Park will be half empty. Perhaps Mr Deacon had a bit of foresight in staying well out of it. I'm sorry if i sound pessemistic here but bloody hell, two weeks to go and there are tickets on general sale???
Brixton is not sold out because of the stupid lottery system and various VIP tickets to press etc. If it was a normal gig on the first-come-first-serve basis, I can assure you it would be sold out in half an hour.
I think I'm coming! :)
That is a joke, but... at least I can go!
But how those who won feel now? Special gig? Laughable... It's not special- the only reason I really wanted to attend is because it's 5 bus stops from my flat AND I can't wait till May to see them back in the UK. But there is nothing special about it anymore- apart from being probably the worst organised event in years!!
