Does anyone know more about this album? I found it at a website and it didn't had any further information other than it was from Freddie and Brian. Does anyone know about the songs or any further info? Is it worth buying?
I only know the title track, Man From Manhattan, and it's ace. It's on the Freddie box set and it was done with Queen guitars and vocals, and god can you tell!! No, it's a brilliant song, very fun!
I've heard it said that Eddie Howell wasn't over pleased with the result. "Over-Freddie'd" would be one way to describe it.
Personally I rather like the treatment it got.
'Man From Manhattan' had Eddie Howell on vocals and acoustic guitar, Fred did all the piano and backing vocals, Brian did all the guitar and backing vocals, and some fella called Jerome Rimson played bass and a nother fella called Barry de Sousa played drums, and it was solely produced by Freddie (in 1975).
i really like it, and although it may not be the most well known song ever or the most successful song released, i still think its a good strong track.
