Queen May 3rd Rod Stewart May 17th Brian Wilson in the summer (hopefully) Southside Johnny if he comes up here in the autumn again Anything else that catches my eye, mostly local gigs in smallish venues. |

1. QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS Still waiting for the news of whether they will tour the U.S. or not. Thanks to the good sales in Europe, the U.S. tour is a most likely reality. So I'm crossing my fingers. 2. GREEN DAY 2005 is the year of Green Day. 'American Idiot' is without a doubt one of the greatest albums ever. European dates are already set for the summer, so I would imagine a U.S. most likely will happen during the fall. 3. JUANES For those who are into latin music, you might probably know him. He's an incredibly talented musician and songwriter. I'm going to his concert this Friday at the Garden here in New York. 4. U2 Although I'm quite dissapointed about the Vertigo Tour fiasco, I hope that for the fall tour dates they will learn from their own mistakes. However I won't be willing to pay 40% more for the same seats I paid for during the Elevation Tour (2001). The floor seats are $55, so if I can't get those I'd rather not go at all and avoid being ripped off. |
akan 02.03.2005 16:30 |
why the u2 tour is a fiasco? |
Lady Cool Cat 02.03.2005 16:30 |
*snif, snif* I wish I was attending a Queen+ Paul Rodgers tour... BUT, maybe a miracle will happen, and they will come to Brazil!!!! :D :D :D |
Sonja 02.03.2005 16:55 |
I have to save money for a huge holiday that I'm planning for the summer so I can't afford many gigs but what I'm definitely WON'T miss is U2 in June! |

I am going to see the Killers on May 10th - YAY! And Tickqueener has already bought two tickets to see Green Day in May as well. Also I will most likely see Queen + Rodgers, although I am assuming I will have to travel. I may see other concerts along the way, depends who it is. |
iGSM 02.03.2005 18:46 |
Well I've already seen Dallas Crane and will probably see Cake...whenever they play here. Soon, I believe. |
SergeantPepperDG 02.03.2005 19:02 |
I'm actually going to a concert for the first time in my LIFE! Well, I'm going to a Bob Dylan concert... ...with my dad. *edit* Not that that's a BAD thing. |
bellydancer 02.03.2005 19:08 |
Already been to Rod Stewart on 15 February - for a guy who's just turned 60 DAMN he still got it!! Bryan Adams tomorrow night - so looking forward to it Hoping to also see Mark Knopfler I know he's not music but Billy Connolly is apparently going to tour in either November or December down under and since I've seen him live before I don't want to miss out on seeing him again - he is soooooooooo funny!! And of course STILL waiting to here if our lads are coming to Oz - would be severely disappointed if they didn't......... |
iGSM 02.03.2005 19:13 |
Perth seems to get people that mandatorially over 60/approaching 60. For example, Tom Jones, Brian Wilson, Peter Frampton, Lulu, Fleetwood Mac and so on. I'm only recalling the ones I can remember. |
Jjeroen 02.03.2005 19:17 |

Tom Jones live. Bet that's a hot ticket. |

I meant to double post it. ;^P |
Mr.Jingles 02.03.2005 19:46 |
Tom Jones, Bob Dylan, Lou Reed?? Now those are concerts where you could expect a lot of bloodshed coming from all the moshpits and a possible violent riot. The level of total mayhem would be so big that concert goers would be way damn lucky if they get back home without a single bruise. It would make Ozzfest look like Lilith Fair. |

As for me, I plan on seeing The Who (if they tour, which hopefully they will), Queen (if they come to America in the fall), and, uh... yeah. Ooh, if Elvis Costello comes around my area, that would be very nice. Maybe I'll see Paul McCartney. So really, my entire list is just a bunch of maybes. |
iGSM 03.03.2005 01:28 |
Pfft, some people here have seen The Who. I'm assuming. I almost saw them. That counts. I wonder when Run PMC will come down to Australia. I'll say 'Hey Paul! Play Maxwell's Silver Hammer' and he'll say *clicks fingers and points at me* 'You got it Cam!'. Then we'll duet on something (a random song, not THE song).. I wish Jet toured. Unfortunately they've had a hectic 2 years touring once and getting jillions of dollars in sponsorship. Yep. Tiring, I bet. 1 tour in 2 years. Wow. Breath taking. |

What a show, what a show. |

Too bad she's in Spain and I don't listen to Latin music. I happened to notice that a lot of his songs sound a lot better live than when you hear them on the album. He's an awesome performer and really knows how to work the audience, and even without the belly dancing and the ass shaking he's still better than Shakira. It's good that he hasn't sold out (unlike Shakira). He was offered to make an album in english and he turned it down, he was also called by that skanky ho J-Lo to record a duet and he turned it down as well... GO JUANES!! |

Tell me, was it hard for you to get good seats? I'm afraid that the boost of popularity of Green Day with 'American Idiot' will make them a target of scalpers just like it happened with U2. I hope that when they add tour dates for the NY metro area this fall I won't have any problem getting good seats. |
