Just curious, but how are the various incarnations of WWRY doing right now? It appears that WWRY Japan is opening soon, though I never heard Brian mention it once (surprise). Is WWRY Australia closing for good once the Syndney shows are done? What about Russia and Germany?
I wonder what impact WWRY will have on tour plans after May.
I can only say somthing about germany, as I live in Cologne: it's the most successful musical production in germany of the past few years, it is selling 8000-10.000 tickets EVERY DAY (!) and is the most successful production EVER in Cologne.
Think Oz WWRY is winding down from good. :(
As an aside, have seen the show in Melbourne and last year was lucky enough to see it in London.
Stage etc was more sophisticated in London. But enthusiasm in performances (Britney being a good example)and crowd involvement fair bit better in Melbourne.
But maybe it was getting a little late in the run in London. Dunno. Still special to hear it over there.
WWRY Russia closed, but it seems that the Aussie show is moving to Japan, sans a few people.
Cockroaches and WWRY, that's what will survive a nuclear war.
WWRY-Russia is closed, but no any reasons given. It seems like they've got problems with the place where they can play shows though I'm not sure.
The last show was in the end of February.
WWRY has a 10 Year contract (with an option to extend its run to 20 years), to play in the USA at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
At least the USA did...something right...finally for and with Queen. It might help too that USA actor Robert DeNiro is co-Producer of WWRY with his Tribeca Theatrical Productions and DeNiro's clout/money championing WWRY are a part of brokering such a positive deal here in the USA for WWRY.
