Paul Rodgers claiming that "no one drums quite like Ringo"?
Absolutely right - there has never been such an incompetent drummer in the history of rock as Ringo. His son is more talented by far. Better drummers than Ringo are:
Gene Kruppa
Keith Moon
John Bonham
Skip Spence
Ginger Baker
Charlie Watts
Mitch Mitchell
To name just a few.
What IS Paul thinking when he makes statements like this?

Just because he said no one drums "quite like Ringo" doesn't have to mean he thinks Ringo's the best drummer. It could just mean he admires his style and what he brought to The Beatles. And who are we to fault him for having an opinion?
and Ringo's drumming is very good
once he was allowed to break free of the rigid early stuff he devleoped very quickly
listen to Revolver, abbey road and let it be before you slag him
It seems like everyone gives Ringo such a hard time...
My friend told me Ringo annoyed her because he doesn't match with the rest of the Beatles. Hehe. She said she doesn't like Roger Taylor either cause he doesn't match with the rest of Queen.
But she's just weird like that.
I don't know the context in which he offered the quote, but it COULD have been intended like that tongue-in-cheek saying: "well, it's hard to argue with logic like that!", which is a slam, basically saying the other person is off their rocker and not worth the effort of responding with a well-founded argument, ya know? ... and not always apparent to the "logical" person ;-)
so, in this context, I think the original post may actually be on to something!
