Hi everybody!!! I know this may seem a bit of a pointless thread but it would also be an interesting one for me. I was wondering what your top 10 greatest comedy moments are ot were. e.g, Del falling through the bar (Only fools & Horses) or Edina & Patsy falling through a doorway drun (Ab Fab). My top 10 are in no particular order... The coach blowing up by the radio in the front during The Jolly Boys annual yearly outing (Only Fools & Horses) Mr Brittas managing to electricute all 200 guests on world hunger day nat Whitbury Newtown Leisure Centre (The Brittas Empire) Eddie & Patsy falling through a doorway drunk (Absolutely fabulous) Richie and Eddie stuck on top of a ferris wheel whick catches fire hundreds of feet in the air. (Bottom) Baldrick carving his name in a bullet so he wouldn't get hit by it. (Blackadder) Richie Rich on Oooh er sounds a bit rude television show winding everybody up and getting a punch in the face (Filthy Rich & Catflap) Victor Meldrew buying some Chinese and proding the rice with a fork to check for mice ( One Foot In The Grave) A huge tank fall of water being poured onto Hyacynths head (Keeping Up Appearances) Immigrants arn't all bad, Rowan Atkinson sais what he thinks about illeagal immigrants (Not The Nine O Clock News) The children getting a sex education lesson (Monty Pythons Meaning Of Life) |

Hm, tough call this one. I'll have to think about it. There's too many things that I consider funny. |

Homer Simpson seeing his car after Lisa's friends glued shells to it. "Sweet merciful crap! My car!" All of the Fawlty Towers episode "The Germans", especially when Manuel is talking behind the moose head and the Major thinks it's the moose. The Monty Python sex ed class. "What's wrong with a nice kiss, boy?" Most of Blackadder. The turnip that looks like a "thingy"! Not the Nine O'Clock news with a shot of Muslims praying on their knees, heads on the ground. The caption at the bottom says : "And the search for Ayatollah Khomeini's contact lens continues." I'll have to think of some more and try and be more specific. Already this is a trip down memory lane - the Brittas Empire and Keeping Up Appearances, for heaven's sake. :-D |

Oh yeah. I love that Fawlty Towers episode. I havn't seen the clip of Not The Nine O Clock News you said about. Also whats wrong with The Brittas Empire & Keeping Up Appearances? I also have just a couple more i feel i would like to add... The Ministry of silly walks (Monty Python) The Leasure Centre blowing up due to a cuckoo clock and mr Brittas saying it was an accident, again (The Brittas Empire) When Blackadder cuts of the kings head by accident at the battle of Bosworth field (Blackadder 1) When Del and Rodney find an illegal immigrant in the back of Denzils van and when Denzil say's "what should we do Del for all we know he could be part of Alquieda?" He replies "Don't be silly does he look like he works in a furnature store" (Only Fools & Horses) Ronnie Barken looking through what he thinks is Nurse Gladis Emmannuelle's window with a bunch of flowers. Little does he know till they open the curtains that he's at the wrong window. (Open All Hours) |

Some of those are pretty new to me except the Simpsons one and The Two Ronnies. I also like the Two Ronnie's Sketch when he's a servant of a house and he keeps bringing things up to the lords dinner table like peanuts and saying your nuts me lord etc. Very clever series. Especially the phone sketch if any of you have before seen that where the two ronnies are on phones next to eachother talking to different people and making up loads of smutty innuendo. |

I have one! Homer Simpson was going to be interviewd by the FBI, with the Lieing Detector. They put the Lieing detector on Homer's head, and they explained ''I'll ask you a question, and you answer Yes or No. And if you lie, the machine will make a small Beep noise. Do you Understand? ´´ And Homer said '''Yes, I understand ´´, and the machine blew up! |

I still have to say a LOT of moments in "Friends". Like the ep I was watching yesterday when Joey's mam (or grandma, I dunno!) was over (the one who couldn't speak English)and Joey was cut off the show he was on. LOL I love Friends!! And I know some people have said these but I love the Fawlty Towers ep "The Germans"..and I always love the start of the eps when they mix around the letters...:D And The Meaning of Life (Monty Python.) That's hilarious, I especially like the sex ed class...really funy! And the end bit with Death! There's loads more but I can't think of that much now. Can't WAIT for tonight's comic relief!I love that clip of The Vicar Of Dibley. That came from the 2000 specials Autumn, Winter, Spring & Summer didn't it? Well anyways. |

I always loved the Christmas episodes of the Vicar of Dibley - the one where she ended up eating three Christmas dinners was class! (There's nothing at all wrong with Keeping Up Appearances and the Brittas Empire, quite the opposite, I just meant I hadn't thought about them for ages) |

Fork Handles - 2 Ronnies is brilliant. Yes Prime Minister when they take Sir Humphrey's key off him. Life of Brian - "He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy!" Men Behaving Badly when Tony wonders what colour Deborah's bush is Morcambe and Wise - The Stripper Monty Python - Spanish Inquisition Meaning of Life "Every Sperm is Sacred" Frasier - the episode where they buy a restaurant and blow it up. Have I Got News for You when Paul Merton reveals his T - shirt with the Angus Deaton headline on it. Sandy Brown scoring in his own goal with a flying header in the Merseyside derby - has to be seen to be believed. Fawlty Towers - Mrs Richards "What do you expect to see out of a Torquay hotel window..." |

And also Michaels story about throwing his monkey into the sea, Alan says, "thats terrible Michael, how could you throw your pet monkey into the sea". Michael says," Aww it did'nt gan straight into the sea, it booonced off a rock first". Makes me laugh just thinking about it. |

<font color=#FF399> Linda Of The Valley wrote:I know that the Comic relief Vicar Of Dibley episode is where Songs Of Praise visit the village of Dibley. Or at least i think thats it. It sounds similar to one of the episodes from series 1. I'm sure it'll be great though. If you like Blackadder Rowan Atkinson and Tony Robinson are doing a Comic Relief comedy about super heroes. It looks like it'll be a great night. And theres a My Family comic relief special. I don't know what My Family will be like because that's started to get pretty crappy now. Series 1-4 were great but series 5 and the 04 xmas special were a disaster.Lady Cool Cat wrote: My favourite comedies are Two And A half Men, Joey, and FRIENDS!!!!You can't be serious? Joey?!! Oh, and LOADS of family guy moments... |
