Hi there. This is my first post on finding this great forum so please be gentle with me. I am a former Fan Club member going way back and consequently a convention professional back to the years of Southport and like you all, a Queen nut. Ultimately my post is a cheeky plug for 2 things so apologies in advance. Firstly I have managed to launch a very accesable 'Queen Radio' station. No doubt not the first of the like but it's just a little bit a fun from a fan and is something to possibly tune into whilst surfing the wonderful WWW. As I have mentioned, it is ludicrously easy to access so please give me a go on link and have some fun. This will also be the web address for (surprise surprise and no doubt you could see it coming) another Queen tribute band which I will be part of. Now I know we all have mixed views on tribute bands and it is very difficult not to fall into the category of 'cheese' so hopefully, with myself being a fan club member and Queen collector since the mid 80's, this should keep us in good stead but hey, it's all harmless fun and ultimately it does keep the 'Queen' name real. We will be primarily based on the South coast but who knows where we might end up. Anyhow, very much looking forward to Q&PR at B'ham and apologies if any readers find the above projects not to their taste. |

I am sure a lot of you have heard them already but perhaps not all. At aprox 8pm we will be airing Freddie & Michael Jackson's collaborations. One being Freddie's solo track, There Must Be More To Life Than This with Jackson on Vox and Freddie on the Piano. The other, a Jackson number called State Of Shock which was later released with Mick Jagger filling Freddie shoes as his Queen commitments did not allow him to finish the track. Of course, all your Queen & Solo fav's as well ;) |

Not from I, I am afraid. Genuinely only joined on Sunday and have made less than ten posts so far which I am sure any Moderator could confirm. Your suspicious mind Linda is barking up the wrong tree I am afraid me dear but it would be helpful if there was a post count attached to everyone's name. |

Tonight at about 8pm we will be playing 'Earth' from the Smile re union from The Cross gig at the Marquee in Dec 92'. Not quite sure how rare this really is so I thought I would just pop a little note up for those that havn't heard it. Incidently, had some great feedback on the Freddie & Sir Cliff track last night so will be playing that also. At The Cross/Smile gig I was very fortunate enough to be right at the very front of the stage for the entire Smile set onwards and could not resist on many an occasion tapping Jamie's fret board later on in the show so if someone out there has the VHS, I would dearly love a copy. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease :) I was also lucky enough to catch a souvenir Santa's hat off of one of the band but for the life of me I can't remember who's it was so I was hoping the VHS would confirm who ? Any how, I digress, Smile and loads more on Queen Radio tonight (might even try and sneak in our beloved Fred singing 'Imagine') with the links at the top of this page. Thanks for reading. |

Apologies iGSM but as your 11-12 hours ahead of us at the moment, it does make it tricky for you to tune in. So broadcasting times for you will be aprox 5/6am - 9/10pm. Hey, call it a Queen breakfast show ! Munch on your corn flakes and sip your coffee to the best tunes on the planet ;-) Would be great to have you on board. |

Things are going from strength to strength with what now appears to be a Queen Radio community with like minded fans exchanging e mails and dedications with each other through the station. Due to the popularity we have added an extra hour onto our broadcasting times so you can now tune in from 5.30pm to 10.30pm GMT Competitions and prizes coming soon. link Please keep your requests coming through and thank you for ALL of your kind e mails of support. We are nothing with you. |
