and so forth...
Is their really any good arguments against QZ having a more "modern" noticeboard? I recall the arguments being "silly emoticons" and so forth, but that feature as any other, can be easily disabled by an admin. I've never really heard a good negative argument about it.
Phpbb, vbulletin, Invision powerboard etc... They aren't widely used as solutions for noticeobards/forums because they are bad, now are they? link
i know there can but some thing on here are getting out of hand and we need people to start closing some threads, also I’ve seen on many other forums where duplicate threads get open the moderators just merge them together to make one. Cos some poeple on here get upset when duplicate threads are opened

Reading is the key to learning, or so I've heard.
I pointed out that ADMIN can set Moderator rights and limit them to just "move topics" so it's pretty hard to go on a powertrip when all you can do is move topics to their appropriate sections...

Geewiz, haven't I told enough :-P It's not obviously very interesting or gaining any support. As far as I'm concerned, sod it.
Anyone can have their own phpbb forum at link for example and see for themselves how the administration functions work etc.
The version at forumer doesn't allow any custom hacks though and has pretty much only basic features, which doesn't give the a good idea of the full potential of phpbb as a forum solution.
Anyway, like talking to a wall...
PLEASE!!!! No mods!
That is one of the things that separates this board from QOL, we are a FREE people. Please don't revert to totalitarianism!!
Give me FREEDOM
or Give me DEATH!!
I want the right to post WHATEVER I want! I don't want to be CENSORED by a mod!

And if you'd read this topic through with thought and comprehended each word we've written, you'd have realized that the suggested form of moderation only includes "moving topics".
Yet you produce this blatant unnecessary outcry, as if someone has suggested that an SS-stormtrooper unit is formed to patrol QZ.

Pease read what pma said. He doesn't want moderators. He said something different, about a "new" notice board with more functions and possibilities.
And that is something interesting.
