I was wondering whether some of the sounds from track 13 of the Made In Heaven album came from the Flash Gordon album? What do you think? I'm not too sure but some of the sounds sound pretty similar so i thought i might try and ask.
I don't think so. I'm sure you're wrong actually...
This tune was made with/by David Richards, but he had nothing common with Flash Gordon project.
And why? Is it too hard to make new sounds instead of using old ones?
the story i heard was that Brian and Roger were messing about in the studio an decided to leave the tape rolling while the "tinkered" as they couldn't ind a way to end th elast queen album
then it dawned on them that the final sound on the final queen album should be Freddie
Well... almost. The Track #13 is made up of a loop taken from the opening chords of It's A Beautiful Day, which were written by Freddie in 1980 (same year as the Flash Gordon project). But IABD was actually from The Game sessions in Munich
Sorry i had to ask it i just thought some of the sounds were similar to those of the flash album. Like whilst ming is talking in track 3 the synth sounds in the backround that just stay the same are similar to those of #13. I'm probably wrong though. I just wanted to ask so i could be certain were the sounds in track 13 came from.
One more question was Its a beautiful day originally recorded in 1980 during the game sessions and then later put on the Made In Heaven album?
Philipp Nothaft wrote: Seb, would you claim that the synth-stuff from IABD actually comes from the 1980-recording, too, instead of being added in 1994/5 ?
I don't think so. At least the oboe is definitely from 1993+.
