I was reading a magazine today that said Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson are possibly up for roles in the film version of We Will Rock You. But this is the first I've read or heard about a movie of the musical. Any other news about this?

Nope, first for me. If there is going to be a film versiom, hope it'll be any good.
The good thing about these rumours about film versions of stage musicals is that they usually take around 20 years or so before they get the go ahead.
I remember hearing about a film version of Evita starring Meryl Streep in the early 80s, CATS with Kyile in the 90s and even Phantom of The Opera with yours truly, Freddie Mercury in the title role way back when!
I'll stick to the original film of WWRRy thanks, the 1981 concert version!

That'll be the day when Hell freezes over, the crows turn snow white, Yeti and Bigfoot become world leaders...etc. etc.
they better not make a movie from it!! though, it would be alright (if its a good version) because i wouldnt have to pay $112 everytime i wanted to see it!! im not made of money (but i act as if i am!). but im still good with going to see the stage shpw...its just as good.
If there is a film version, I hope Tony Vincent would reprise the role of Galileo, and hopefully have Hannah Jane Fox (Scaramouche) and Kerry Ellis (Meatloaf) in the film as well. Sexy ladies.
