So many people have used this term before, but do any of us actually know what it means? Is it loving every song Queen recorded? Or following them on tour around the country? Or is it buying anything and everything related to the band? Or is there no such thing as a true fan? Of course, there's no real answer and we could debate it for awhile without ever getting anywhere, but I'd love to hear some answers.
There is no such thing as true fan. This is just the term used by some morons in discussions they are losing and have no other points to make. Simply a way to close someone else's mouth by saying "you're not true fan, than"... And end the discussion in which someone just simply disagries with you. Used mostly by the ones who have complexes- by calling someone not true fan they assume they're one and therefore for a moment they feel special or something. Miserable, if you ask me... (and I see irony, as by calling it miserable I assumed I'm less miserable and felt better for a moment ;) )
spot on mate!!! time
and why? because a true fan doesn't see everything a band does through rose-tinted specs...a true fan can see when the band made errors of judgement, can see the bad tracks and still love the great and the good they did....a true fan will not defend the band pointlessly even over shit tracks like body language (my opinion) - and hence many of these abilities can only really be acquired over a period of time
because no matter how good your musical ear - you can't get every album did in one go and make assessments on it all overnight
