Well, I think they've made some mistakes with the tour-planning. They've planned four dates in Italy, and none of them is sold out yet... And in Holland they sold 15.000 tickets within ten minutes. Couldn't they have known this on forehand?? |

I agree- was also very surprised with 4 dates in Italy and only one in Netherlands... They ALWAYS had huge following in Holland... But about Italy- didn't they played there only few times? Maybe they wanted to make it up? Still- if they're not sold out... Maybe they should have plan a date in Scotland or Ireland instead? |

I wasn't surprised by four gigs in Italy (there are many fans there); I was only surprised by ONLY ONE gig in Holland - I'd say Holland has even more Queen fans than Italy. |

Uhm, some mess here... I am the first having been shocked by the weird decision of one date only in Holland; obviously, it went sold out in some few hours. But you dont have to be surprise about the 4 dates in Italy at all, since our 56 milion country showed to be one of the most Queen-ish country in Europe, lately. Maybe the percentage of queen dutch fans is higher than italian's, but then again... italians are about 4 times the holland population!! And then I've been to Pavarotti and friends and I witnessed the love of italian fans towards Brian and Roger: we went by their hotel the night before and Brian looked almost moved and he promised us to come back in Italy soon... and he kept the word!! All the italian dates have seats tickets sold out. The standing tickets are sold out in Milan though some more will be available in February. You can be sure, anyway, that all the 4 italian dates will be SOLD OUT in the end, so no need for being disappointed about the Italy choice. |

It all boils down to the fan bases of each country. Are there more Queen fans in Italy or Holland? Anyway, just be pleased that they're playing both countries as part of an extensive European tour.I'm sure majority of fans are happy at getting a chance to see their idols in their own countries. Well, I almost lost my chance to see them live... I didn't manage to get a ticket for Rotterdam (only the first half of the row in our local post office was lucky). It was sold out within ten minutes, not a few hours!!! So I was forced to buy some tickets for Antwerpen (right on time, a few hours later that gig was sold out too). It's not that I have something against four gigs in Italy, but I think they owe Holland more. I just made a comparison with Italy. |

I believe this has to do with the musical. I think Brian said some time ago that they were looking in to a wwry show in Italy. Therefor it seems logical to play more shows in Italy then in The Netherlands. As there aren't any plans, thusfar, for a wwry show in The Netherlands. Same goes for Germany, musical and much more dates over there. |

Italy is one of the countries where, since 1991, Queen sold more records. The last (and only) dates in Italy where 2 gigs in Milan in 1984. 30.000 tickets for the 2 gigswere available but only 16.000 were sold. The band was disappointed (Brian and Roger often stated in their interviews that those gigs were not great)and 2 years after avoided Italy for the Magic tour, even if record sales were good . Anyway, after Freddie's death Italian audience grew steadily and always supported the band and solo projects (Roger did a 12 dates tour here for Happiness) , so it's not strange they are playing lots of dates here. At first only 3 dates were planned, but a forth was added as the promoter thought (cleverly) that request would have been high. But surely Holland deserves more dates, I hope they'll come back there in summer. |

Everybody was overwhelmed by the ticket demand. Who would have thought that a venue would sell out in minutes? Also, the tour was planned very shortly, they had to accept the dates they could get and there is the time limit set by Paul Rodger's other tour commitments. Luckily, many Dutch fans have already tickets for other gigs. I think Jeroen has even more tickets than there are venues :) |

Queen forgot about USA and Italy (except those 2 concerts in Milano), and that's also a reason why sales didn't go so strong there. But it's true, after Freddie's death, italians' request for queen grew very fast! Roger in his 'happiness' tour reached only UK, Japan and Italy, as the Italian Queen Fan Club told him there were many requests for a tour here. In last 'Pavarotti & Friends' it was amazing to see how ppl here were equally divided between Bono fans and Queen fans (there played also Bono, Deep Purple, Lionel Richie, Ricky MArtin plus other ones...) but Queen were easily the ones who had most screaming fans! We woke up late, but we're tryin' to get it back like it should be. I also got surprised to see 4 dates in Italy, but it was good news! Though i live in an island so to me Paris or Rome ain't so great difference to me.... Sardigna Natzione!!! |

Monte, I LOVE Australia! They have to come to Canada, or at least the U.S. though. I missed my only chance to see them (Hot Space tour) because I was too young at the time and my older sister's weren't into Queen. |

don't be ridiculous! we love queen, i just think that tickect are sold not 'all at once', only a certain # of tickets is available from time to time. Maybe the ticket sellings are planned wrong, but surely it's not that we don't like queen |

Well, the Dutch people are going crazy I think... U2 sold this morning 150.000 tickets within an hour... First they had planned only one concert, but during the selling they've planned another two. Queen decided to add no dates because it would be hard for Paul's voice. But why not move then?? U2 play in the Amsterdam Arena, with a capacity of 50.000... It's a stadium, but with a roof. So you can easily plan a concert there in April. |
