I've just bought the dvd, i think it's very well realized!the band is in wonderful shape, even in the bonus tracks (a part some parts of freddie's voice). Action this day is a low point according to me but the rest of the hot space set is cool!
Crazy little thing in japan is my favourite live version!
Congrats also to Roger's voice on backing vocals...(and tiger skin trousers.. :P )
is there some Easter eggs i should check out in this dvd?
Action This Day as a low point ? I dont think so ... I pretty like it on Queen On Fire. But I have to agree with a concert in Japan - love it whole, but CLTCL especially :o)!
Action this day - live performance at Milton Keynes - for me was one of the highlights of this concert and one of the reasons I'm so happy to have this DVD! :))
Roger's voice was wicked at Milton Keynes :-) I really enjoyed Action. The low point for me was Brian's solo (as Roger said, it's boring. No offense to serious Brian fans out there). Well damn it all! Now I got to listen to the CD! :-)
I love action this day, and Brian's solo wasn't the best... but I think that's because his lead falling out broke his concentration.
Nobody's mentioned this: I love the interviews!
Roger- "So basically we see just as much of each other as we always have.... It's quite sickening actually"
Brian- "Disgusting"
I was listening to Action This Day from Osaka 82 last Friday on my way home from work ... I listened to that song cranked at least four consecutive times ... because I fealt like it.

Then my friend, I'm afraid you don't know kick ass tracks if it bit you in your own ass. Cheers!

HAHAHA Roger said Brian's solo was boring!? That's quite funny. Did I miss that part of one of the discs? Hmm..
Action is great, it's unlike the other tunes on the set list -- even the other Hot Space tunes. Really hard, driving funk. Anyway. Girlfriend pulled off an amazing trick and got me a 2'x3' blow-up of the cover art mounted on foamcore... the bigger the better!
ryancoke,
No, it wasn't in the interviews on the disc. But one interview I did see (I THINK was in Wembley) had Roger saying he quit doing timpani solos because they got very boring to him. And then he added "never stopped Brian, though!" :-D

Right on, I think he added that drum solos were so cliche, and when they were on, people went to get a hotdog or something. Quite funny comment from Rog.
Ok ok i'm the only one on this board that does not like "Action this day" live... :P eh eh eh
i did not change idea...it's better Staying power, it has more "rock'n roll feeling" ;D
bye bye friends
oh great, i have always thought you are a little genius...may we discuss with few glasses of wine about the sense of life in a warm summer night? (if we have no better projects elsewhere...)i love that kind of discussions, too ;)
and now who DARES to contradict me and Fenderek? :P:P
eh eh eh eh

LOL- get your ass to London and we'll do few glasses / bottles / crates... ;)
Great concert, but not as great at the Wembley show. No offence to anyonce who liked this show.
I've only got the CD of this show.
Crazy Little Thing Called Love - amazing
Brian's Solo - just as good
Bohemian Rhapsody - not bad, but not the best performance of it
Action This Day - don't know the song too well
