Here is a dumb question...and I'm sorry to ask but...
Is that a real engine roaring at the end of IILWMC's studio version...or is it studio trickery with one of the instruments?
The reason I ask is that it doesn't sound like a real engine...especially at the end - it sounds like someone's voice mixed in with some weird noise.
I don't know.. we should ask Brian. Some stuff can be achieved with guitar, some can't, for instance, the bicycle rings in Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon and Bicycle Race are definitely not guitars. The organ in The Wedding March is an organ. The timpani in Drowse is a timpani.
According to what he wrote me nearly two years ago, he played organ in Wedding, therefore the "orchestra" we hear is the sound of multi-tracked Red Special plus organ (s)
of course - practically everything queen ever did will come down to brian at some point - as if freddie never existed....i bet all the piano parts and vocals were brian too

What a load of bullshit its so an engine, sound like some sort of a American V8 to me
No American V8 that I've ever heard sounds even remotely similar than that. Might be something finer than that.

I remember my car at the time, because I think we've got the exhaust on the record, and that was a little Alfa Romeo
