have you noticed that a lot of songs Freddie wrote usually have the word "mamma" in it such as boh rhap, mother love, and you don't fool me. Is Freddie emotional about his mom?
Crazy Little Thing as well (in the live versions), and My Fairy King for some extent. But it doesn't mean he's obsessed or anything. Some songs mention mamma or mother or whatever, but A LOT don't. You can't say I'm alcoholic because I get rat-arsed eight nights in a year, because it means that in 357 nights I'm NOT bladdered. And of course, the other 8 are my prize :)
And John with the second personal pronoun. Just note his titles:
YOU're my best friend
YOU and I
Who Needs YOU
Spread YOUR wings
If YOU Can't Beat Them
Need YOUR loving tonight
Additionally, the most repeated sentence in Misfire is "don't YOU misfire"
now that could mean something, Sebastian..........hmm.........John doesnt like to write about himself? Well, I guess that would fit with all we know about him,,,,,,,,seems to be a shy sort.........
Great! I was just thinking about this "Mama" thing a few days back. He certainly uses it more often than other songwriters. Don't forget the Freddie demo "Holding On"
