Last time i saw him post, it was in several of the newboe threads and he was posting the exact same comments...
Seems that even he may have moved on to other places...hope not! I for one really enjoyed reading his listings. Very informative.
Sorry guys - but I now find that this once great site has taken a very drastic nose-dive over the last few weeks.
Once upon a time, I would log-in daily, and enjoy adding comments to the mainly interesting threads, Now I am lucky if I log-in once a week, and I know that I am not the only "regular" who feels this way.
I still feel that I would like to be part of the community, it's just that I feel I have less and less to say to the audience who have hi-jacked the forum and would rather discuss the size of Freddie's tackle - or if John had bigger hair in the 1980's or 1990's.
I completely understand, John, as I feel the same way somewhat. Even with some of my own threads (that rediscover your favorite Queen album and a few others) are generally met with indifference, so I've given up trying to add intelligent things to this forum.
However, I think people are genuinely interested in what you have to say - I know I am - and your threads about the seventies tended to cause a lot of discussion, usually with the older forums-goers. So there's still hope for this site, and you are the one who holds that hope!
With that said, if you're not gonna post 'em here, do you have any plans to post them to QOL?
That's really very disappointing. I was very much looking forward for more of your posts, John. Unfortunately, nobody can create an environment on a public message board that makes it "worthwhile" for you to post. Too bad.

No: I have no plans to write new bits for QOL. This is my "spiritual" home here, any new material would still be run here first.

Sorry if I appeared rude or "snobbish", but that was not my intent - rather, hopefully the "hijackers" will soon tire and run out of steam and when they do, maybe "regular" service will return to normal.
