We would love to hear who has won! Whenever you find out...tell us all about it, your story how it unfolded, and what your plans are from this point. Thought this would make a nice topic... Congrats in advance to all the winners, and GOOD LUCK to all of those who have yet to find out yet! |

Yes please do let us know! I am quite the conspiricy theorist, so I need to hear from winners lest I convince myself that it was all a sham and no one really got tix. |

If successful could you say whether you are a member of the fanclub or QOL? If a fan club member how were you informed? |
D@VID 22.01.2005 03:54 |
I am a fan club member and just had an e-mail confirming I'd won.Just bought two standing tickets. As they in say outer mongolia,I am chuffed to f**k |

I am a member of QFC and QOL. Fucked up the buying of my tickets somehow and now I cannot buy them as it thinks I have already bought the tickets. - not very happy at the moment but hopefully it will get sorted out. |
Richard Lopata (new email) 22.01.2005 05:08 |
Just remove the tickets from your cart and you can do it again Rohemian I also won, but I don't have a creditcard, are there other ways to pay for the tickets???? Richard |

THANKS Richard sometimes I am as thick as shit !! There are none so blind as those that cannot see. Panicked and missed the cart icon. I now have standing / stalls tickets YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!! Dicky It might be that you selected the wrong option when selecting your tickets. there was a drop down box. Although the first option was circle. |

I won in the lottery, but I'm quite sure I have to give them up. Now as the Stockholm gig is confirmed, I'm trying to get the tickets for that. Too bad that I can't wait until 31st with the Brixton tickets as the last day to get them is 27th. Lottery tickets would have been a nice "back up" if I were to miss the Stockholm tickets. |

I think that every participant in the lottery should have received an email stating they had won or they hadn't. In that way it would have been clear for everybody. Of course if you haven't heard anything about Brixton by now (like me - sniff) you cannot buy tickets. But as they usually can send mails to everybody, they should have done the same in this case. |
Jimi 22.01.2005 11:44 |
I still don't know wether i have won or not!!!! If i have i will defintely be going.Thats novel... Thing is i can't access my outlook on the laptop when i'm out of the office!! I can use the internet but not the email. It just says not available. Come on I.T experts is there another way of getting to them? I've heard its possible from outside your normal network. There is hope that we can all win tickets in a second draw - apparently many winners on QOL don't want their tickets because they have bought other venues in the mean time. |

Simoriah 22.01.2005 20:54 |
I doubt I've won anything, but I would have been entered in the draw via the fan club. As they only have my snail mail address, not my email or phone number, surely many people will find out by post early next week. They will have a set number of winners and each person can only have 2 tickets. I assume there's another draw for unclaimed tickets, or a reserve list if people contact them to say they don't want a ticket (or something). |
Lisser 22.01.2005 22:35 |
I'll be glad to give someone my email so they can go. Barb can I pass the email to you and you can do with it as you see fit? You can have it or distribute it elsewhere...I trust you. I don't have your email though. Its 1034pm here so I'm sure you are in bed now as its almost 3am in Germany I think. I'll see if I can memo you on mirc. |

deleted user 23.01.2005 23:23 |
According to Brian's website, the Fan Club Winners won't know until Monday. I'm cannot remember why, but it had something to do with the list of Fan Club winners having to be given to jackie before the winners could be notified. |

How long do you think we should wait to hear about Brixton before giving up hope? |
Negative Creep 25.01.2005 10:58 |
brianmay.com says QFC AND QOL members will be contacted by snail mail to let them know that theyve won... so how come people are claiming to have been already contacted by email? And how come people are claming to have seat numbers & areas when there isn't that much seating at the Brixton Academy & is always unreserved? The whole situation is fucked up. They should have just put them up for sale on QOL. |
DragonOnMyBack 25.01.2005 11:06 |
I believe most of the people who have won already have probably won via queenonline registration rather than the Fan Club. The Brian May page also said they would contact Fan club members by email if they had an email address, otherwise it will be via snail mail. I actually called the Fan Club last night and there was a message from Jacky on the answerphone saying that letters would go out soon and everybody who has won should know by the end of the week. So I would not lose hope until Friday, but the closer it gets to the end of the week the more chance you have missed out. I still waiting to hear as well, so am hoping on the snail mail. If not I will have to make do with Cardiff, Birmingham and Wembley. |
Negative Creep 25.01.2005 11:10 |
Brians website says that QOL members are also being contacted by snail mail, not e-mail. A lot of the claims of winning that I've read have been suspicious... why would winners have been given a link to Ticketweb, when Ticketmaster is handling it? Theyre 2 different companies. |
DragonOnMyBack 25.01.2005 11:30 |
This is what I read on the "Queen News" part of brianmay.com website. it was posted there on the 22nd Jan. -------------------------------------------------- I just spoke with Jacky [QFC] about the uncertainty over the 'Lottery' and this is what she asked me to let you know: The Lottery is being handled by Ticketmaster and they have a file of OIQFC winners, but it is in 'postal address' format rather than email. They are sending this to Jacky over the weekend and the plan is to email those who have won and for whom Jacky has an email address on Monday, and to snail mail anyone else immediately after. So please be patient - it may take a few days if you are an OIQFC winner. TTFN FT -------------------------------------------------- I am going to see if I get anything in the post this week. If not I will assume that I have not won. I guess a few people may be lucky later, if some of the initial winners decide not to buy their allocated tickets. |
Negative Creep 25.01.2005 11:33 |
This was also posted: QOL are sending out snail mail letters to all those successful in the Lottery (both QFC members and QOL registrants), hopefully starting today. Many of these are in far flung parts of the world... so it may be a few days before these are received and responded to. Patience required |
DragonOnMyBack 25.01.2005 11:42 |
I haven't seen that but I guess if that is the case then people might have to wait a bit longer. But as far as I remember/can see on queenonline.com when you register it only asks for your name, email address, sex, postcode and country when you register. For the UK at least this is not enough information for posting anything out via snail mail. The postcode only goes as far as identifying a road. So they must have to get the address details first by emailing people or somehow matching names to house numbers. To me is seems easier to email the QOL people. Just my thoughts on the subject ...... |
Negative Creep 25.01.2005 11:47 |
I can't recall what info they ask for when you register on QOL, but it IS possible for a company to obtain someones postal address from just a name & post code. |

Voice of Reason 2018 26.01.2005 03:30 |
Anything in this morning's post anyone?!! |
YourValentine 26.01.2005 03:45 |
"Does anybody know how the unclaimed tix will be distributed?" There is a queue and ticketmaster will offer rejected tickets to the next person in the queue. All these infos are very confusing. I am sure that QOL has no reliable data base with postal addresses. It could take weeks if all tickets are distributed that way. A potential good idea is ruined by the very uncoordinated and amateurish handling. It's also bad style that they never say how many tickets are actually allocated to fans in this lottery. It's well possible that hundreds of tickets go to the press, VIPs and guests for free and that the lottery winners have to pay for the guests. This would explain the top price for a "fan event". |
Jjeroen 26.01.2005 04:21 |
No, you have to enter your adress and such when you order the tickets! |
YourValentine 26.01.2005 04:38 |
It was about the lottery winners being notified by snail mail, Jeroen - I am sure they don't have the full address of each QOL member. |

Also on this one! AND that they had about 8000 entries... But that might not be the same amount as that there will be 'allocsated to fans'... |
YourValentine 26.01.2005 06:55 |
Cliffhowell, if the number of 4000 tickets is an official announcement, that makes me think. Under "live concert" you find the following on the Brixton Academy website. "Due to the recent refurbishments The Academy now has a capacity of 4921" This means that 900 tickets, roughly 1 out of 5, are not allocated to the fans. The question remains if these are sold to non-fans or if every 5th ticket is a freebie... |

YourValentine 26.01.2005 08:52 |
Well, if that is true, it's quite an act of hypocrisy to announce a concert "for the fans only" and make it look like a generous gift when in fact the most faithful fans are paying for the free rides of the band guests with overpriced tickets. |

I have just got an email from the fc stating that I haven't won in the lottery BUT there are lots of worldwide winners who may not take there tickets so still have a chance in the second draw which is based on where your named was drawn in the first round!?! Another long wait in store. Will be glad when Brixton is over and done with! Why didn't they play Hammersmith with it's bigger capacity and let everyone go who wanted to? More pissed off than disapointed! |

Thing is, I just got an email from Ticketweb today telling me I can purchase tickets for the Brixton event. Is this for real? Shouldn't I be buying these tix through ticketmaster?? |

Dilemma 23.02.2005 19:39 |
Ok I have a problem. Help me out please. I register on QOL but don't get a ticket email before the rest of the UK gigs went on sale. So i think better luck next time, and buy a rubbish ticket for wembley. It's interesting that 10 minutes after the site opens the whole place is full but whatever. Then yesterday i get a mail saying i have won the lottery. The problem now is i need to sell the wembley ticket and buy one for brixton (lets face it wembley will be wembley but brixton will be better. Then I think wait a minute where did all those wembley tickets go. I ring up a ticket agent / tout offering vip packages and find he bought 400 tickets from the promoter. He has block a and b tickets for £300 each !!!! So the real fans get the crap seats and the touts get the good ones. I think we were here many years ago. Anyway, I now feel like buying a second brixton ticket and selling it to make a point that while brian may hate touts, he is actually selling tickets to them via his promoter ! So while it may say you can't sell this on ebay, where are the touts getting the tickets from officially ? The same place you and I are. So seems like the money making machine is fleecing us yet again. Don't get me wrong I am a big fan, but don't think we are being treated with enough respect. Oh and another think someone on ebay was trying to sell a brixton ticket but he was given a tough time by fans and withdrew the tickets. Why don't the fans give the promoters a tough time for the farcical way the tickets were announced, released and sold ? Advice anyone ? Anyone genuine fan want a wembley or brixton ticket ? Cheers |
YourValentine 25.02.2005 10:18 |
You are absolutely right, Dilemma. There is a lot of hypocrisy on the side of QP regarding the ticket touts. Why did we blame the fan who offered Brixton on ebay? Because he posted here. If Brian May posted here, he would get the blame. |

Dilemma 26.02.2005 18:58 |
Hi Your Valentine & Jazz. While I thought of sending it to Bri, I doubt it will make any difference. I did email him before about further wembley tickets and he said there would not be any more gigs as Paul had to go to the US. However now we hear that they are planning hyde park. To be honest if I was organising the tour trying to make as much cash as I could I'd make sure the early gigs sell out and sell the good tickets to vip operators / touts. So I'm gonna sell my spare ticket for wembley (please post here if u want it) and have just bought 1 ticket for brixton. I did think of taking up the option i had for the second to sell but didn't want the hassle of ill informed fans flaming me ! So now my conscience is clear and I continue to recognice QP as a money machine ! Let me know if u r interested in the wembley ticket anyone. |
YourValentine 27.02.2005 05:41 |
It's a huge difference if you offer your ticket to another fan for the price you paid plus postage or if you offer it on ebay with a reserve much higher than the original price - this is what "Rocky" did. The Brixton ticket lottery is a fiacsco because from the start it was controversial who should have a right to enter the lottery. Now it has developed into a hateful debate about "worthy fans", tickets are offered to fans who never wanted one, fan club members are notified after the deadline while others do get emails. The latest highlight of this whole shabby affair is Jacky's latest "news" on her website where she promises to undermine the allegedly audited lottery in favour of the members of her fan club. |
Rien 27.02.2005 07:11 |
Well, I know there are more registrated fans than there are tickets, but I've been a registered fan for 27 years now and I did not get an email saying I was a lucky winner. I do know fans that were selected in the first round of this lottery AND they were ALSO selected in the second round of this lottery. It's getting more stupid by the minute. And now, indeed, I could send Jacky a mail to get me included in the leftovers after 2 draws. Luckily I'm invited by two friends to join them on the trip to Brixton. I chose one and made sure that the second ticket went to another registered Queenfan. But still... sure I should have been a lucky winner in the first round! Me! Of all people! :-) |

YourValentine wrote: The latest highlight of this whole shabby affair is Jacky's latest "news" on her website where she promises to undermine the allegedly audited lottery in favour of the members of her fan club. That really shouldn't come as much of surprise after she has already undermined the original lottery (and all those "old" FC members who do most of the moaning about these Brixton tickets :P ) by submitting into it people who joined the fan club AFTER the tour was announced... :I |

I've was told by Jacky on 23th Feb that I am a winner, and have gone to the Ticketweb link she provided to book my tickets. I'm then told at that link that the tickets need to be booked by 9th February, and I can't book!! Jacky told me Fri that dhe has asked Ticketweb to sort their link, as the people this applies to only get until 1today (28th Feb) to buy their ticket. AS at today, Jacky is not in the office, the link is still broken, and no-one at Ticektweb replies to my emails, and cannot help on the phone. I am eligible for tickets but can't get them - has anyone else been suffering this farce over the last few days, and if so have you remedied it??? HELP!! Chris |

By not taking up the option to purchase the Brixton tickets, you will be doing more to ensure that this never happens again than if you do buy them. Vote with your feet and stay away from the show. That's what I've done and I've even had chase-up e-mails asking me to go ahead and book the tickets; surely, if I win the tickets, I have the choice as to whether the tickets are used or not? |

Yeah,I won a ticket. It's just one important thing, i did not get the ticket in time. It was too late for me to purchase the ticket when the letter arrived. Well, i'm going to Sweden instead =) |

By NOT taking up the Brixton tickets you are saying more about your status as a fan. If all fans decided not to take their tickets, the next time (if ever) a Queen tour was announced there would be NO one-off gig purely for Queen fans (apart from the industry liggers who have also got tickets). |

Haven't read all the pages, I'm new, but won the lottery and bought my tickets. I have a few questions: 1) anyone from Italy??? I'm from Milan. 2) is there any hotel round the Brixton Academy making special offers for the gig? or there's an hotel you can suggest me? 3) 64,45 pounds in total... how it costs to be a fan... Thanks a lot! CIAO |

well they must still have some going as I got an email today saying I've won tickets. Quite happy with it obviously, but didn't expect the email for sure. 4.95 for special delivery which costs 3.75 by Royal Mail??? I opted for venue pickup instead! |

Well, would you believe it - just won the lottery! Booked the tickets and changed my Easter weekend trip to come back a day early. Rock and roll, etc... |
eggy 03.03.2005 12:35 |
Seems lots of tickets were available. I don't mond it. Off work that day, and 25 mins on the thameslink isn't that much of a sacrifice for an easter monday! |

Like the voice of reason 2005, I have won the lotto aswell, so while much of the country heads for Cornwall for Easter, Im going in the other direction, to Brixham. All i want now is for my balls to drop on Saturday night in that lotto, boy would I be happy, or is that asking for too much? see you on the 28/3 |

Just got an email offering me tickets, but the damn link won't work. Determined to sort it out and get my ticket though. |
Simoriah 05.03.2005 11:41 |
I've contacted queenonline, but no response. Can anyone help me at all? I called Ticketweb and was told to contact queenonline so don't know what to do now. |

ONE SERIOUS QUESTION: HAS SOME LOTTERY WINNER ALREADY GOT HIS/HER TICKETS SENT???? I AM FROM GERMANY AND HAVE BOOKED HOTEL AND FLIGHT AND HOPE TO GET IT IN TIME ??!?!?!?! |
Jjeroen 06.03.2005 05:38 |
No, we are all in the same boat, Runner. Not tickets have been sent out for this show yet. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed (I'm from Holland) that they get here in time. So much has gone wrong with these tickets already.... |
runner70 06.03.2005 05:45 |
Do instantly hope so - they said tix will be sent out 3 weeks prior - didn't want the "venue pickup" - hope i did the right thing!!! |
Daz85 07.03.2005 13:51 |
I got the Brixton e-mail Saturday and ordered tickets last night :-) I was hoping I'd get the e-mail even though I've booked Birmingham, as 1) is 'fan' only status, 2) I don't have to wait until May, 3) don't have to avoid the msg boards about setlist spoilers (bar the 46664 gig). |
Simoriah 07.03.2005 16:20 |
It looks like the email from Queenonline has lots of black text on the black background and if you highlight it all so you can read it, it gives a deadline for when you can order. It only gave me about 36 hours. Very very sneaky indeed. No good though when the deadline is before the email is even sent to you. I hope you manage to get tickets. If I can't, at least I can see them in Manchester, but it's a pain in the arse to lose out because of some underhand method. |

Huzzah!! Further to my previous post, and after consistently hassling TicketWeb for a week or two, I finally got my confirmation link today, have now booked my 2 tickets for Brixton, and am a happy bunny! They say that the tix wil be sent out approx 3 weeks before the gig, and that's 3 weeks today, so hopefully should arrive anyday now! Chris |
Simoriah 09.03.2005 16:21 |
I hassled ticketweb too until they sent me a working link and got 2 tickets yesterday. Can't really afford it, but it's a chance to see them in a small venue, so credit card it had to be! |
Richard Lopata (new email) 10.03.2005 14:06 |
I just got an email that I forgot to give my QueenOnline registration number where can I get that? I don't have any emails with that number anymore |
Jjeroen 10.03.2005 18:59 |
Got that mail too. There is no such number, or am I going crazy??? |
