It seems Queen never were appreciated by the feuilletons of the more sophisticated papers. This seems to be different for Paul Rodgers, who is highly respected among those journalists. It looks like this is the chance for Brian and Roger to be recognized not only by general public - they already are as famous as you can get - but also by people who normally don't give a damn about what they call "glam rock".
A few days ago, one of the biggest and most serious German newspapers had an article with the heading "more than a replacement" which said Rodgers won't have a problem filling Mercury's huge footsteps because in fact his feet are much bigger.
Any similar reactions in other countries?
