Is it me or is anyone else surprised/disappointed that Queen + Paul won'tbe playing any UK stadium venues. Given the relatively smallish capacities of the venues, the nearby football stadiums would provide approximaely the same capacity but with one hell of an atmosphere. What do y'all think?!
I am glad they are playing "smaller" venues.
The larger venues have crap sound, and worse views. This way, if you go and see them, you are guranteed to get an OK view and a better sound experience.
To me, playing stadiums is just a way of doing less work and getting paid more money for it! Instead of 4 shows at Wembley Arena, you would do one at Wembley stadium (when it was around).
I guess that this falls down when demand is so high that only doing the really large venues do you allow everyone that wants to see you, see you. Not the case on this tour.
I've always found atmospheres to be better in Indoor Venues. I think, because of the nature of these places, the Atmosphere "stays inside".
Also, could Queen + Paul Rodgers fill these Stadiums ? I'm not entirely sure. 3 nights at a large stadium would be around 180,000 people. Yes, as shown by the Demand already, a lot of tickets would do, but I'm sceptical as to whether the shows would be a sell out.
