Just saw this in full for the first time yesterday, and found it slightly odd that there was not one clear picture of John Deacon - that he's been replaced with a Picasso-esque rendering. Anyone know why this is, and what do others think of the video? Ifound it very different but it does blend well with the songs different styles |

I think it's cool, but a little boring after 6 minutes.. |
Martin Packer 19.01.2005 03:50 |
All part of the "covering up Freddie's condition" thing, I think. None of them is filmed afresh and all of them are "rendered" according to some artist's style. Mostly I like the video, but it clearly showed "something was up". :-( |

i haven't seen the video yet (i know i should be ashamed) but does anyone know where i can download it online? |

The band members are each rendered in a different style. Totally brilliant video. |

And the animation director - Jerry Hibbert - was Freddie's collegemate, though they didn't met during making of video and Jerry was very sad about this. |

I don't mind the video but i don't really like it that much. I think it was the way it was to help cover up his illness. Great song though. One of my favorite songs. |

One of my favorite songs.I don't think so. Freddie filmed in Headlong, Slightly Mad, Days of Our Lives, so I think he was able to film in Innuendo video if he wanted - it was just another way for making video and that's it. Don't try to find AIDS in everything relates to Innuendo album. |

Innuendo is one of my favorite videos by any artist! It's kind of odd, And it fits the dark image that the song always puts in my head. Very nice indeed. |

i think the video shows just how far you could stretch an annimation application on a 386sx/25 pc with 4mb ram and a 60mb hard disk still my pc back then was chucking out wolfenstein 3d and spear of destiny and i still had 40mb of hard drive left....mind you, windows came on three floppy disks back then |

The video was a rude awakening for me. I first saw bits and pieces of it thinking 'meh.' But then I actually got a good look and was very much determined to own it (Greatest Video Hits 3 had better come out soon!). |

this video won, at the time, a golden camera award, you can see this information on greatest hits 2 booklet. thank you |
Rotwang 20.01.2005 07:41 |
The video is very fitting. I like how each member was given his individual artist rendering. It shows that they are individuals but putting their individual styles together made Queen what it was. The animation was a good change as well. |

I think the innuendo video is one of the most brilliant, and most haunting ones you can find, certainly in the Queen canon. It's brilliant, I think-even if you spend the whole 6 minutes trying to figure out where the shots of the band are from!! Plenty from the Breakthru video, I noticed. |

The animation was a good change as well. The abstract shapes used for John's figure are very good for him. By using this procedure, either they tried to show that John's face was similar to an abstract painting (distorted and asimetrical), either they meant John's face was too ugly to be shown in this video... Yay, now I'm gonna get stoned by Deaky's admirers! Just kidding over the matter, guys! :) Right? John is cute and funny, especially in the 70s. Oh and he's such a good boy, drinking only tea and milk :) |

I saw some from Scandal, The Invisible Man, I Want It All, Breakthru, they even threw in shots from Wembley! It's so freakin' cool! |

What does Fred look like on the video- does the cartoon look well? I know it's a ridiculuous question but what kind of treatment is he given. And what is brian made to look like i wonder? |

Anyway they filmed videos before and after Innuendo. While the video was being made they were filming Headlong genius because the UK and USA had different lead singles and they certainly couldn't be two places at one genius. |

By the way - another one link from link-man of Queen world Serry - here's the page of Mr Hibbert on the site of his Hibbert Ralph Animation company: link |

I wish they'd done a Show Must Go On video. Giving DoRo an editing suite for an afternoon can be so hazardous, you know. They shoulda just shot it concurrently with Headlong or something. Haha. |
Winter Land Man 11.06.2006 17:10 |
Imagine if on Greatest Video Hits III, they put in a real performance video for 'The Show Must Go On' and 'Inneundo'??? And it turns out they wern't released. That'd be awesome. |
