deakys ghost 16.01.2005 13:10 |
I live in Ireland and got the letter on Saturday. NO YOU CAN NOT HAVE THE NUMBER!!!!!!! RING THE FANCLUB. |
RohemianBapsody 16.01.2005 15:13 |
Good on you Deaky. For those that are part of the fan club this is probably the best news we have had - that we get priority ticket purchases. |
cliffhowell 16.01.2005 19:19 |
For all that has been said about the fan club, they have come good in the end. If you are a fan club member please don't let the number slip out, if it gets on the internet it will be a free for all. |

Im not a member, but ill get tickets. Its like Charlie and the sodding Chocolate Factory, who'll get there first! OIQFC arent the only fanclub to supply their members with priority tickets you know! |

If you haven't got the letter I am sure Jacky would let you have the phone number if you rang her with your details. |

After all it IS supposed to be a priority booking period for QFC members - isn't it? |
Brian_Mays_Wig 17.01.2005 07:45 |
And good luck to those who get tickets through the fan club. Ive had tickets to the Freddie Tribute, Brian solo twice and Roger through the fan club, but those who really want to go can be patient enough to wait! Im not in the fanclub anymore cos its shit, but i'll still be seeing them live this year! |

"All I am trying to do is protect the interests of fan club members" Do interests of fan club members include not informing fellow fans who refuse to be members of any such organization? :-) Seriously, the priority thing is good but you shouldn't go to extremes. |
RohemianBapsody 17.01.2005 08:23 |
Part of booking the tickets is to identify your fan club membership number. The proposed tour is the only reason I am a member. |
YourValentine 17.01.2005 08:48 |
Are the pre-sales for the UK concerts or for the whole tour ? - because Frankfurt and Munich are apparently already sold out |

The fan club have come up trumps? Only if they have managed to secure tickets in decent positions. My thinking is that they will have been given tickets away from the centre of the venue - the promotor will control the distribution of "the best seats" as he can then maximise the profit from those better positions. |

Fan club tickets are usually at the front and hence highest cost anyway. |
Dicky Hart 17.01.2005 11:19 |
I believe one of the policies if the fan club is to secure priority tickets for members. They have not come up trumps, they are doing their job for a change. They are still shit though!! |
Benn 17.01.2005 11:29 |
Absolutely, and by PRIORITY, they simply mean priority booking as opposed to "the best seats in the house". These will be controlled by the promoter so that they can get the best revenue possible. |
eggy 17.01.2005 11:39 |
Not strictly true. Prince & David Bowie fan club tickets on their last UK tours were front of the house jobs. We shall see tomorrow anyhow. |
Benn 17.01.2005 11:53 |
But were they promoted by Goldsmith? |
Negative Creep 17.01.2005 12:03 |
Why would they give the fanclub the worst seats/area? That wouldnt make sense - theyll want to get rid of the most expensive tickets as soon as possible and fanclub members are more likely to spend more than the average joe. |
Benn 17.01.2005 12:14 |
Where did I mention "the worst seats"? I simply said that the BEST ones are likely to be held by the promotor in order for him to maximise the revenue on those areas. Queen fans are likely to get good seats in the stalls. |
Negative Creep 17.01.2005 12:16 |
Why wouldn't they get the best? Your theory doesn't make sense. They'll want to sell the most expensive seats as soon as possible and fanclub members are more likely to purchase these than an everage punter. Chances are, there will be standing at all/most of the venues anyway. |
Rich Tea 17.01.2005 12:40 |
Birmingham NEC right at in front of the stage and all seated - Thank You Jacky brilliant! |
Queen T 17.01.2005 16:36 |
Okay guys - here's the deal that a lot of fans based in England do not seem to understand.... My wife and I live in a suburb of Chicaho - and she has been a member of the fanclob/QOL for a long time...We were planning to spend our vacation at the convention, but seeing them live is a much more exciting opportunity (Jacky - you've done a briliant job, please don't think everyone is mad at you!)...anyway we shall not be receiving that letter for a few weeks...consider yourselves very lucky, I am sure many of you have not even thought about overseas fans (Who once again appear to have been somewhat screwed)...We'll make it one way or another...but please no more sanctimonious preaching about true fans not giving out the number...we're adults - maybe some should act like it... |
Simoriah 17.01.2005 19:35 |
Surely if you phone Jacky and have a valid membership number, they'll give you the number. Even if you phone the venue/booking agents/whatever after Tuesday, you have a pretty good chance of getting tickets I'd say, they're pretty big venues. |
