Whenever i listen to GOFLB when Freddie sings the line "And tell me how do you feel right after all" for some reason it always makes me think of John Deacon. Does anyone else have wierd things that songs make them think about even though they dont really have anything to do with the song? (Sorry about the wierd way i wrote that i wasn't really sure how to put it into words.) |

I dunno if this quite fits into the topic, but the A Day At The Races album in general reminds me of Myrtle Beach, SC, cus while I was on vacation with my family there, I bought that on cassette! Pretty cool memory anyway.......and of course, an excellent album |

Hmm... I think that it makes me think of wigs, actually. I have no idea why, though. It also reminds me of a dream I had with Queen in it, about a week before I joined this site... |

umm well when I hear "Fried Chicken" I think of a whole chicken that is Fried and in a KFC bucket, or if I hear someone else or on tv talk about fried chicken then I think about the song One Vision... kinda weird to me I guess |

Bicycle Race and Fat Bottomed Girls make me think of The Simpsons... But usually when I listen to a song I think of the video clip or what the song is telling me.. |

Interesting topic.... When i listen to Roger's song "Where are You Now" off of his Electric Fire album, i swear it's a tribute to John Deacon. This is all i can think of when i hear this song...and i LOVE IT!! |

What in the song makes you think of Johnnie? |

I really have no idea. When Freddie sings "Come and sit in my hot seat of love" it makes me think of someone sitting in his lap for some reason so i think of John sitting in Freddie's lap and talking to him. |

awww how cute would that be |

Foxxy, it's mostly the chorus and when Roger speaks the line "..cuz we need ya..." near the songs ending. I remember it hit me one day as , my God! Roger is pining away for John to come back too! Ha Ha! |

That reminds me, every time I hear Fat Bottomed Girls I think of all those stupid rap songs dedicated to butts and I think, Brian was WAY ahead of his time, haha! I've heard that "Baby Got Back" was the first butt song, and I'm thinking no way...Monte wrote: ever time i hear "fat bottomed girls you make the rocking world go round" i think "yay! thats good news for me!!"LOL same case here!! |

Interesting and original topic.Whenever I listen to Brian's magestic guitar such as in Procession, White Queen, The March of the Black Queen, Fairy Feller, and those kind of songs,I can't help feelings those magical and mystical chords getting deep into my heart and into my soul.It is kind of a "heavy medieval mood" what I get.I am not over reacting I guess, it is just that their music is so touching, so moving and powerful at the same time.Freddie, Roger and John did contribute quite a lot to it.I do not play the guitar or any other instrument, I can not sing either (much to my regret). However , listening to them is quite a rewarding experience. Most of their songs are so dear to me...thank you Queen for your unique art. |

This is a strange, but very good, feeling. I saw the Who Want's to live forever video fo the first time (I thought) 2 or 3 days ago.. Then I just relised that I have seen that before... YEARS ago.. It is just some feeling I can't discribe when Brian is playing the guitar in the middle of the orchestra. When I was younger, I don't know exacly when but I think I was very young, I saw that video and I felt just so good. I think it was my first feeling for music. I've always thought music was wonderful but when I heard that I felt touched. I can't descripe it... And now I feel the same thing in few songs. Only few and they are all made by Queen. I don't know if I descriped it right, I think I couldn't descripe it in my own language !! |

I'D LOVE TO SEE THAT!! That would be soooo sweet! I usually think of those to during this song probably because of the video where Fred's at the piano and they kinda blend in a pic of John standing in front of the green light. It looks like Fred's singing to him. But listening to Queen in general brings up a lot of memories to me. I've read that if you hear a song it's almost certain you'll remember something that happend while listening to it before. Like your first dace with your first date or something. |

Oh, I just remebered another thing. When I was little my Dad always would play "Radio Ga Ga" on the jukebox at our local Pizza Hut. And I thought the lyrics meant that, the person singing,(i didn't know fred's name at the time), was upset because his girlfriend was obssesed with the radio and when ever he talked to her all she would talk about was the radio and all he'd hear was "radio goo goo, radio ga ga". That's pretty wierd now that i think about it. |

When I listen the game album, I always start thinking of cookies, that's because when I first listend this album I was eating them. Also, when I listen songs from the 80s, like kind of magic or I want to break free, I always get sad feeling and I start to thing about Freddie and AIDS...I don't know why :( |

whenever i hear the song Don't Stop me Now i think of a skating rink in Colorado. I guess it's because it seems like that is a song that they would have played there. |

This sounds stupid but when I think of Queen recording in the studio, for some reason I envision them wearing their "on stage" clothes. It's weird to see pics of them in the studio wearing short sleeves and shorts. |
DoctorNine 18.01.2005 14:28 |
For some reason, whenever I hear "Princes of the Universe" I think of Freddie and John sitting on a throne looking over a land that looks EXACTLY like the cover of Billy Joel's River of Dreams... As far as I know, those two artists (being BJ and Queen) aren't related at all, in any way, shape, or form. |
