Why was Dave Clark at Freddie's on Nov.24.1991?
Was he that close to him?
Remember, he told some people not to come when they were on their way. There was a very small window from Nov.23 to Nov.24 for people to say their goodbyes. Dave Clark got to be there.
WTF? what's your deal, dude. i think it's a very good question -- i for one would like to know a lot more about the Freddie/Dave Clark connection.
also, is this the same Dave Clark who has written/co-written a lot of Christian worship music recently?

So why you can't buy Peter Freestone's book and read everything about who was close to Fred, who wasn't? Do you think Freddie was thinking "Well, I'm gonna die tomorrow so I need Dave here for this day"?
Dave and Fred were working together on "Time" project, that's the connection.
MBF ask these questions not because he wants to get answers, but just because he wants to say some shit over here for his fun!
i think the origins of the friendsip date back to the mid 60s
Dave's band "5ive" and Freddie's band "the Dreamers" were billed together on the same tour doing such prestigious venues as the Gaumont and Rank Cinema
they used to do each other's numbers in rehearsal
and although Dave and Freddie remained good friends, Freddie's band - the Dreamers grew jealous of 5ive's resurgent popularity in the 1990s when their change of style took them to a whole new audience
