Somebody please help me! I just cannot work that blasted program out. When it comes to converting flac to wav, it always tells me that "the flac codec could not be opened". I thought it was just that codec, but it happens the same each time I download a codec from their Codec Central thingie.
I recently tried to convert a real audio file with a downloaded .rm codec, but the same thing happened to me...
So is there any other program able to convert flac files? Or any player? Or any codec available, something to make Windows Media Player or Winamp able to play them? Given that 90% of the gigs here are flac, I'm not gonna sit and watch them all pass me by... Hmmm, it seems problems never end for me. Until yesterday, I wasn't even able to use the BitTorrent! Now it works fine, I'm into the Hyde Park, luckily a vcd, but for all the flac things I really need some help, please...
Hmmm, I haven't tried using the flac converter yet... Hope it works for me...
Fraid thats the only programme I know of which is able to convert to/from flac...
Thank you so much! I've just downloaded the Flac Frontend and some plugins for Winamp5!!! Not only I can convert flac to wav and wav to flac as easy as that, but now my winamp is able to play flac files too! Cool! I won't have to go through the trouble of converting and I won't lose any bit of information! I like it way better than the dBpowerAmp... I'll just wait till I finish my HPark76 download and tomorrow I'm gonna search for some flac show. Just can't wait! Thanks!

I just use dbpoweramp to convert some wild .ogg or .shn files that I seem to collect.

yeah... the best way (to me) to hear and convert FLACs is the Frontend in company with Winamp 5!
You're right, pal! I just love it, but I'll keep in mind the other programs, in case anything goes wrong.
Thanks again to everybody for helping. Despite the opinions of the newcomers, there are many nice people on Queenzone :)... I really love this forum!
