Thanks a lot, Thomas, how did you find out? Frankfurt is around the corner for me :) I'll post them on the QZ tour page if you don't mind. |
Richard Orchard 11.01.2005 07:44 |
Hi, I've got them on the tour page. Plus the news article that Thomas kindly posted. Excellent stuff. Yep - Queen fans are good at finding stuff out before it is officially "released". Richard |
DocMay 11.01.2005 07:55 |
Well, this was a good from the German Fan Club. The German Fan Club received the tour dates from the concert promoter Lieberberg. |
Mr. Scully 11.01.2005 07:58 |
Nice - it's just a shame there are several days between the dates. I wanted to set on a "German tour" but that's impossible now. I will probably be in Munich and either Frankfurt or Leipzig only. |
The Mir@cle 11.01.2005 08:13 |
I can visit Hamburg and/or Dortmund... Only three hours driving from here. Great news!! |
deleted user 11.01.2005 09:14 |
See you in Frankfurt and in Munich maybe!! :)) |

Fuck, Leipzig... now I have no lame excuses :) |

Mr. Scully 12.01.2005 02:43 |
Yep, sounds likely... maybe I will set on a "German tour" after all... we'll see. |

How ironic that the day before the show in Leipzig, at the same venue, there is "One Night Of Queen - the only concert-show recommended by Queen". |

"How ironic that the day before the show in Leipzig, at the same venue, there is "One Night Of Queen - the only concert-show recommended by Queen"." Vienna 13.03.05 One Night Of Queen Vienna 13.04.05 Queen Are Back I wonder how many people (who don't understand the German description of both events) buy tickets for the first date. |

WHAT?!?! No standing places at the other ones at all?? Well, I think I'll have to reconsider Dortmund then... I hate to be seated at a concert. (On the other hand... the boot'll sound better ;-))) |
Mr. Scully 13.01.2005 04:42 |
All-seating venues are really stupid for rock concerts... on the other hand, you can arrive half an hour before the gig without having to stand in the queue. |
Jjeroen 13.01.2005 04:51 |
Well, It's obvious they are expecting the audience to be mostly elderly! (Which is understandebly, not all younger fans might be able to pay for those insane high ticketprices anyway) |
YourValentine 13.01.2005 05:15 |
Jeroen, the standing tickets might well be at the back of the hall behind the seats, I don't know. Surely, you won't be able to stand in front row when people have paid the most expensive tickets to sit there. I'll post more details when I find them - thanks to the German FC. |
Jjeroen 13.01.2005 05:37 |
AAAARRRGGHHHH! Standing places BEHIND the seats!! The Horror! The Horror! (to be honest, I'm getting a bit fed up with all those weird things an vagueness surrounding this tour... :-S |
Lisser 13.01.2005 09:24 |
How many concerts are you planning to attend Barb and Scully? How many are the rest of you planning on attending? |
Mr. Scully 13.01.2005 09:32 |
I will make a final decision next week but as I said, I will certainly be in Vienna, Munich and Prague. Most likely also in two of these cities: Leipzig, Frankfurt and Dortmund. Not sure about the rest of the tour... I want to see at least 6 gigs for sure. |
Jjeroen 13.01.2005 09:40 |
If the Belgium and Dutch dates are correct (which I assume) and if everything goes as planned and hoped, I'll end up at 7 or 8 shows... (Which ought to be my max! Any adittional shows will make that I'll skip another. -At least, that ought to be my intention! ;-) -Brixton (fingers crossed! ;-) -Paris -Milano -Frankfurt -Antwerp -Rotterdam -Rotterdam again -Dortmund (-Dublin, if there will be one...) (-Switzerland, if there will be one...) I know it's insane, but I don't care! I've waited long enough for this, it's once in a life-time an my current situation makes it possible for me... No summerholidays this year ;-) |
Lisser 13.01.2005 09:56 |
I don't think its insane! I think if its what you want to do with your time and money then you ought to go! You only live once. I wish I could go to that many gigs. I have children I have to provide for so I won't be able to spend that much of my money on Queen. I'm going to try as hard as I can to see one show. I'll be coming from the US so it'll cost a pretty penny!! I think it'll be worth it! |
Mr. Scully 13.01.2005 10:11 |
Lisser, I think if you pay so much for a plane ticket, you should see more concerts than just one. If plane + 1 concert = $800, then plane + 2 concerts = $900 - not much difference. |
Jjeroen 13.01.2005 10:46 |
Think I'm with Martin here! Pick some close dates... Imagine they don't tour the states and you'll never see them. You'll regret it for the rest of your life! Wasn't it you who said, you only live once? ;-) I say 'go girl'!! |
Lisser 13.01.2005 11:03 |
That would be the right way to think but I do not pay for plane tickets...I fly for free, anywhere that Delta flies, I fly for free. I do only get 6 international legs a year for free though. I've never used any of them. |
The Real Wizard 13.01.2005 16:14 |
If one doesn't speak German well, how are they supposed to order tickets online? |
Hank H. 13.01.2005 18:31 |
Strangely enough, the nearer the shows come (and I mean really near, one is about ten minutes by bicycle from my flat... I'd never have dreamed that this could ever happen), and the more I think about the ticket prices, for this strange band that we are gonna see, with twice as many people in it who have nothing to do with Queen than Queen-members, and after reading Zeni's post about how ticket prices are set, the more sceptical I am, and the more afraid of being disappointed by this whole enterprise. To me, a concert must be really fucking good to justify more than 50 Euro ticket prices. It's almost impossible to justify that, and I'd never think about flying across the Atlantic for this... you guys are really crazy :) But I don't want to discourage you. I probably couldn't anyway. I wish I had something to judge what the concerts will be like: an album, previous shows, a line-up... |
pirrakitas 13.01.2005 18:40 |
I got a standing ticket for the Munich concert. Does anybody know where this area is located? I assumed that was in front of the stage, but somebody has suggested that is at the back!!!!!. How can be that possible? |
YourValentine 13.01.2005 20:31 |
The standing area is the complete parterre which is not divided into blocks. You have a standig ticket when the description in your receipt does not specify a row and seat. It's a first come -first row ticket. |
pirrakitas 14.01.2005 06:52 |
Thanks YourValentine! That makes more sense to me! Glad I chose the standing ticket. Pirrakas |

Well well well, are the tickets to Frankfurt on sale? I gotta buy it before it´s too late, or is it sold out? Never been in Frankfurt before, is the airport near to Festhalle? And what means stehplätze? :D |
wegotit 14.01.2005 08:50 |
Stehplätze = general standing (close to stage) Show is on sale - not sold out yet festhalle is - as far as i remember - about 30 km from airport |
BlueRock 14.01.2005 08:53 |
Thanks buddy, it really helped a lot :D |
YourValentine 14.01.2005 09:22 |
Blue Rock, if you plan to come to Frankfurt from Finland I recommend you join the Tour 2005 mailing list link You can ask any question about booking, venue, location etc and you may find other fans from Finland who want to see Frankfurt. |
