apols for double posting - this is also in qeenzone section i thought the whole idea of this place was that it could be democratic? was i deluding myself? it appears that one person - who no matter how funny his posts are - they can still be as utter shite (in an amusing way) just like the nubes can post utter shite - and it's okay - but a few nubes (who we all have the right to ignore) do it to up their count and wham!!! so Fatty says "let's get rid of post count" (which i agree with) and "get rid of the html" (which i don't agree with) - and hey-presto it happens - this is undemocratic and unfair - surely it can be possible to ban users who abuse the html rather than blanket ban its use? i'll tell you something for nothing - i quite liked using colour - and it did no harm 1. it brightened the place up 2. it was easier to find my own last reply to a thread - which in here is sometimes very useful but here goes my twopenneth worth....i've tried to be a good Zoner - even going so far as to distribute quite a few BoRhap Story DVDs worldwide before Christmas (at my own cost)...but if this is the way things are to be in here from now on then i'll think twice before spending my own money to ensure people who can't get BBCTV get a copy of a DVD....oh and by the way - if you really don't like democracy around here go ahead ban me. I've broken no rules in here...i don't offend anyone - and i am happy to bow to greater knowledge on any issue...but this one stinks whatever next? give us all numbers and ban the use of names? after that where does it end? people from europe can post on Mondays weds and Fris the rest of the world get tues, thurs and Saturdays - this all is some sad sick joke Colour does not hurt - it's what makes the world a beautiful place...if you can't find a way to allow it's use and just ban the abusers then there is something sadly wrong....and this place clearly is not the free-thinking-liberated-open-minded forum (oh yes Forum - you know what forums are for - self expression)- that it claims to be!!! still it's okay if you're Fatty - click your fingers and make three wishes mate (no offence) i fully expect my use of free speech (or disagreeing with a deity - or whatever the FatOne is) will get me a ban - so to all those who agreed but were too frightened to speak out against the tide of Godness (Deities) - I tried fellas, don't expect i'll see you around as my login will be banned after this |

Good grief, it's not THAT big a deal. You act as if Richard and Barb had started forcing us to wear orange jumpsuits or something. As to fatty, yes, he can get away with a lot. But he's a good fellow to have around - the other crochety oldbies (CCFTSHI: ONCE AGAIN, SHE'S NOT TRYING TO INSULT THE OLDBIES) have a tendency to be rather morose. |

What gives you the impression that you will be banned for stating your opinion? As far as I know that has never happened here. Maybe a democratic poll should have been taken to ensure everybody had a say in the changes but I'm not sure that would have got us anywhere either. The colours didn't bother me (tho I found the scrolling text a pain in the arse). I really don't think the changes made were that dramatic... let's just see where it goes before we believe we are on a totalitarian board. |

I have never thought of this site as a democracy. Richard owns the site and can do what he pleases - like it or lump it. Certain colours didn't bother me, scrolling text pissed me off no end. But - just for you, let's have a vote - all those in favour of helping Brenski pick up the toys he threw out of his pram, raise your hands. |

Bren, it'll take a lot more than you stating your opinion on colors to be banned. You have every right to state how you feel on this board or make a suggestion. That is the foundation of this board, we all have been welcomed by Barb and Richard to say what might be better for the board on the whole; but Richard does own this site so it is his say that is final. You will need to accept that. Barb and Richard have always been very open to suggestions or comments from all users to make the board a nice place for all of us. Just pick your battles though. I'm sure Richard will think about what you have said and weigh the pros and cons. Don't be so upset though if you don't get to use your color. It'll all be ok. I don't care if my name is in color, has polka dots on it, glows, or is poop brown...I'm just glad the board is here. I do hate that scrolling shit but its not my board so I can't tell anyone to stop doing it. |

Well, what can I say? Let's start with a humble apology. Brenski, I am so so sorry that I have drained the colour form your wings, broken your fairy circle ring etc etc etc.... I have never been taken seriously in my life so when I made a couple of suggestions that might breathe a little bit of life back into Queenzone, I didn't expect action to be taken so quickly. Had I known that all I had to do was click my podgy little fingers to affect a change I would have asked for naked pictures of Dark Myuutwo on the front page. All I was asking for was a discussion on ways Queenzone might be improved apon. There were no demands, just a bit of a chat. That alone would have been better than the usual 30 posts of shite a day. I got the discussion and I'm happy enough with that. Anything else was a bonus. If you want to see the colourful shiny things again, then all you have to do is suggest it to Richard. He has proved he's open to suggestions but at the end of the day it's his site. Again I am really sorry that I have caused you so much pain and distress and for what it's worth I'd gladly swap your problems for mine. Cheers pal, fatty. |

I agree with Bob - I don't object to colour but I'm made up that the scrolling text has been banned because it was horrible. Especially when smartarses would make the subject of a thread a scrolling full stop. Things are getting better - I still think we should at least have the registration dates back though - and it's really great to see the almighty and omnipotent Richard take on board suggestions from the great unwashed - that doesn't happen often in this world ;-) |
