Can someone please help to settle an argument!
A friend say he say Queen at Glagow Apollo in the 70's supporting Mick Ronson - is this true.
A large amount of alcohol awaits the victor!
Actually I think they only supported 10cc in one show in Liverpool. They supported Mott for two tours.
And yes, Mick Ronson rocks! imo, he was the best (although not the greatest) rock musician ever.
Bowie's first single after Mick Ronson left the Bowie camp was Rebel Rebel and because Bowie pulled out of doing the song on TOTP the Beeb gave the slot to Queen and the newly discovered SSOR
Ouch the next connection Ian Hunter (cleveland rocks track from Never alone with a schizophrenic)-Mick Ronson played with IH on tour-former MTH frontman-guitarist with MTH Mick Ralphs who played in Bad Co whose lead singer was.....Paul Rodgers- Roger Taylor plays at MR benefit..................hey one happy family

You also forgot the early Ian Hunter / Queen connection (the Ian Hunter song "You Nearly Did Me In" in which Brian Roger And Freddie did backing vox) and the Ian Hunter/ Mick Ronson appearance at the Freddie tribute.

I hadn't forgot they backed IH but did forget to write it-so I bow to you on that one--oh lets go for it Mick Ronson guitarist in 'Spiders' with Bowie and Bowie on UP-who wrote All the young dudes which he gave to MTH= Another full circle he! he! he! Great here innit?
.....which was Ronno's last live performance, playing with his old boss Bowie, who, if he had got Rebel Rebel sorted out for TOTP in time, Queen would not have got on the show and rock history could have been very very different....
