its prob been said b4.. but why dont queen release a dvd concert which is'nt already on video? something new from the magic tour? or works? not that rock in rio quality was dreadfull... also more footage of freddie 86 onwards because theres loads of footage, i.e. backstage video footage/making of innuendo even.. and i dont mean 3sec clips converted to black+white to make it look more arty.... oh im having a good ol rant today lol.. |
bitesthedust 08.01.2005 12:24 |
Milton Keynes hadn't been released before the CD/DVD release last November. I would personally rather that they didn't release any more Magic Tour shows, but now due to the tour I wonder whether they will continue to release DVD's? |
KingMercury 08.01.2005 12:38 |
queen productions will release Greatest Video hits 3 for sure, or a late 70's concert forget about another Magic Tour show, or a Works Tour show i go with the GVH 3 it will be great |
flash00 08.01.2005 12:39 |
m/k concert has been on the UK television over a dozen times!!!(an edited version) i think we'll prob get dvd's of there new tour in the future imo end of the year for xmas! oh i'm more into queen in the 80's+90's so i hope they bring out more concerts from that era, i do like the 70's era but not live, |
flash00 08.01.2005 12:43 |
oh yea deffo a greatest hits dvd 3!!!!!!!! |
bitesthedust 08.01.2005 16:14 |
erm...Queen's last tour was 1986, so aside from the Freddie Tribute Show (which is already out) there won't be anything after that date. Milton Keynes may have shown on Channel 4 and VH1 lots of times but not an complete show, which is what the DVD & CD release are. I'd like to see Hammersmith 24.12.1975 released on cd/dvd - there is footage available after all, some of it was shown on the Bo Rhap Documentary a couple of weeks back. |
Las Palabras De Amor 08.01.2005 16:43 |
Greatest Video Hits 3 would be interesting. |
deleted user 08.01.2005 16:50 |
Greatest Video Hits 3 will definately be coming out on DVD. I would think that would be their next release. Also like someones said before i would also expect to see a 70s concert released. If a 70s concert was to be released then i would think it would be from the crazy tour. Possibly News of the world tour. It would be grat to see a 70s concert released on DVD as they havn't released any 70s concerts on DVD or VHS in England before. |

Some months ago Brian said at his own site (brianmay.com) that Budapest 86 will be released on DVD. But I don't think it's planned for this year, because it's an Magic Tour show. I think Hammersmith 75 will be the next live DVD release. |
jericho05 08.01.2005 17:26 |
Anything from the 70's (News and previous) will make me ecstatic. |
LivingGirl 08.01.2005 17:32 |
I prefer release of 70s concert rather than made videos.concerts are more exciting. |

you would think so, as it was the main reason I got Box Of Tricks myself, but I've seen sold separately at record fairs.... |
deleted user 09.01.2005 07:22 |
I've never seen it or been able to get hold of it in shops. Nor have i been able to get hold of Queen Rocks and Classic Queen on VHS. I once saw Queen Rocks but didn't have enough money to buy it. |

According to Greg Brooks they were working on 2 Live DVD's: Milton Keynes 1982 and Paris 1979, MK is finished, so a big chance is that Paris 1979 will be the next live DVD... |
Banquo 09.01.2005 09:07 |
I'd love to see Rainbow '74 get a DVD release, also the Xmas Eve gig in 1975 at the Apollo deserves it as well. |

ISN4T HAMMERSMITH NOT BETTER FOR A '79 CONCERT, THAT WAS FILMED ASWELL WASN4T IT |
Mr Fred 09.01.2005 11:18 |
Both Paris and hammersmith was filmed. If they have the whole shows filmed, I don't now, but I think so. There are clips shown from both this shows on TV. And they are really good. Especially HM79. Freddie's voice wasn't in that great shape in paris. But I think that they would release Hammersmith, beacause it's such a great show. And about the rainbow 74. With DVD release I want the whole gig. The one that was released on VHS is a very cut one and edited. When it then comes to the 70's shows over all, I Think that these shows could be argued about. Earls court 77, mic problem, so I don't think it will come out. Hammersmith 75. Good show. Maybe to be realeased in the future, but be not to sure. Houston 77, well, not so great filmed some people says so, don't expect much. Well then you have some 79 shows but I reallty don't know about these. I would be glad if they released Hyde park 76. |

Rick wrote: According to Greg Brooks they were working on 2 Live DVD's: Milton Keynes 1982 and Paris 1979, MK is finished, so a big chance is that Paris 1979 will be the next live DVD...Correct! This is their way with live dvd's: they are going back in time, each time taking steps as many as necesarry to get a show with enough songs in the setlist that haven;t been on the previous DVD. Wembley 86 (then they skipped the 1985 tour because it had too many doublures as compared to Wembley), tour before Hot Space is 1981 which they will skip because it has too many doublures with MK (AND the WWRY dvd), so next will indeed be either Hammersmith (yes there is a FULL concert on video in the archives) or Paris 1979. (Or, as some of us still hope, a Live Killers-box set like the Led Zeppelin DVD). -Expect it late 2005 For now that is! They go back to the other tours later on. And that's probalby when Budapest will come out. Nothing said though about when that should be. It could easily be ten years from now! Or it might end up in an anthology box (which will probably will be more then ten years from now ;-) Yes, GVHIII is set for earlier this year. And yes I am oh so sure that there will be a dvd of the upcoming tour. No doubt whatsoever! |

AllDeadAllDead 09.01.2005 13:42 |
oh man, do i pray and hope its some sort of live killers 79 stuff, box set, compilation whatever you want to call it. i think that is the best era live queen. freddie is just nuts, the sound is still analogue thick and tasty, and they all look the coolest. and the jazz stuff sounds great live (dreamers ball, FTG, bicycle) i'm not too concerned about getting a 'complete' 79 show -- a well edited together 'concert' would be fine i think. |
danarcher 09.01.2005 14:21 |
How about a compilation of Queens encore tracks, the ones that they covered ie Hey Big Spender, Saturday Nights Alright etc. Utilise some of the bootleg albums, lifting and remastering the appropiate tracks. I have one ablbum full of such tracks that I compiled a few months ago. I am sure there are many tracks I have missed. |
markaw 09.01.2005 16:13 |
Have I missed something? Is there any footage from the NOTW Tour? Saw them do this show at Stafford Bingly Hall '78. Or the DATR same venue before this ('77). While I'm at it anyone got these shows on a cd? if so wanna make me a copy or where can I buy copy-oh don't say bit torrent etc. |
JDL2nd 09.01.2005 17:42 |
I hope they will release a 70's concert. Possibilities : - Earls Court (1977) I hope they will release this !!!!! :D - Houston (1977) - Hammersmith (1975) x-mas concert - Hammersmith (1979) * They could also release a double dvd of Hammersmith 1975 en Hammersmith 1979. You could vote for that on queenconcerts.com. That would be really great. This 2 concerts are both beautiful and from two different periods. |

They've released two Magic shows on vhs, so why couldn't they release two Magic DVDs?!? It's not likely to be the next release though... |
Panza Pedraza - FER 09.01.2005 18:32 |
And why not Earls Court. Problems with the mic?, well, they can overdub with parts of one of the two nights, or from another gig of those days, as they did in some part of MK specially in fat bottomed girls. Paris 79 was not a good night for Freddie's voice, i prefer Hammersmith 79, this gig saw the voice of Fred near the perfection. And if they have fear cos Earls Court doesnt have a lot of hits live, as MK and Wembley have, they could put some bonus tracks in the CD from shows after june 77, like WWRY or WATC from Houston |
newcastle 86! 16483 09.01.2005 18:55 |
yep earls court gets my vote although there is the concert for kampuchea remember only 30 mins tho cud be a bonus for disc 2 |

I would like to see Queen get back on two DVDs per year routine, like in 2003 (LAWS,GVH 2)!That means,Greatest Video Hits 3 (in late may, early june) and some live stuff (in early november).About live DVD,I prefer 70s era (especialy Live killers). As some of you said, box set would be great thing to have but I'd be satisfied with a single concert also!Earls Court '77,Hammy Odeon'75,Hyde Park '76 are also welcomed .It would be nice if every live DVD they'll release is from different tour.Nice for collections + we get to see how the guys went thru different phases and periods.Anyway,I'm for Live killers era!!!!!! |

BUDAPEST 86 IN HD-DVD....as soon as HD DVD players become available...this year I believe WOW , Imagine that. Forget your LOW RES TV recorded concerts for 525 and 625 TV Systems, let's have some HIGH RES prog scan 1080p (or wotever it is) QUEEN direct from a HIGH DEF FILM TRANSFER....And AFAK there are only two Queen concerts capable of such resolutions... WWRY and Budapest 86 |
JDL2nd 10.01.2005 14:04 |
Is anyone interested in that double "Hammersmith dvd" with the 1975 and 1979 concert ??? I think this would be really great. Answers please .... |
kohuept 10.01.2005 15:50 |
Aren't we supposed to be getting the DVD-A of ADatR? ...possibly this year. I know this is not video, but would consider it a worthwhile release. |

Dennis tm wrote: Sorry, I didn't checked it well enough. I thought it would make a great release, since two concerts from the smae tour doesn't sounds smart. And esspecially if you'd release that that wouldn't make any room for the Knebworth '86 gig wich we all want in desent quality. Cheers, DennisIt's alright. I don't know if Queen have filmed Knebworth. If not maybe they should release it as DVD-A instead of a Live Magic DVD-A. And btw I don't have a problem with 3 Magic shows on DVD... The Hammersmith box would be kind of odd, the only link between the two concerts are the venue and the band (of course). Hammersmith 75 -Rainbow 74 box would be more likely. |

I no it's allready out there but I think they should release WWRY as a part of the DVD collection & in PAL format first. |

WWRY in PAL ????? Are you mad? Freddie will sound like Mickey Mouse! No...NTSC only where 24fps FILM is concerned. |
