Someone fill me in, I've been away for a while.
Can you please answer the following questions for me.
1)Is this a queen reunion going on?
2)Is Paul Rogers the bloke from Free?
if Yes
3)What the hell are they doing getting him to sing Freddie's songs when Robbie Williams or my grandmother would do a better job?
4) Is it a full tour and will they be doing full length shows of just queen songs?
5)Is John doing it too?
6)Can anyone hear Freddie spining in his grave?

1) It's a sort of reunion, but the guys just see it as them going on tour again...
2) yes he is
3) They probably thought that he was good enough to sing with them.... I'm not commenting on this because I've never heard him sing..
4)I really don't know... but I certainly hope so..
5)John is not doing it... as far as we know around here...
6)No comment ;)
Who's gonna play bass then?
It's such a shame, they just seem determined to ruin their legacy-the shows won't have the same magic, how can they even hope to?

Before they announced that he was going to tour with them you'd probably think him a great singer. But now, since Brian and Roger have decided (and it is their choice, not yours so leave them alone!) to ask Paul you all hate him. I bet if they chose Robbie you'd want Paul. You people are never happy!
Anyway, there's a new forum on the tour so post there.
OMG, Linda I agree with all you said!

I couldn't say it more clearly. Well done Linda you said it!
Hmmm, obviously we haven't met.
To say that I probably thought Paul Rodgers was a great singer before Brian and Roger decided to bung him up front for their band is totally ridiculous. Don't group me in with those.
If they'd chosen Robbie, all my questions would have been the same, except for the third one about Rodgers not being good enough to lead Queen. I didn't think much to him before, and I don't think much to him now.
I know Freddie has no grave, but if he had had one, rest assured he would be doing multiple revolutions in it as we speak. Not because of who's replacing him (although they could have chosen better) but because his beloved Queen are seemingly trying to drag themselves through the mud and dampen what could have been a truly wonderful legacy. Queen were a fantastic band, but they were of their time and their time is over, why can't we remember them like they were?
If this tour brings up anything that can rival the spectacle of all four members bursting on to the Wembley stage for the final act of Bohemian Rhapsody in 1986, then I'll totally recind all my comments. Does anyone out there honestly think that it will?
