Can anyone tell me which Magic concert this is from? William, or some other Magic expert?
It's unusual to see Freddie with the crown, but without the robe.
It's Dublin, where they did not play the National Anthem. The show was in fact early, hence the daylight - for security reasons. This did not stop some audience members from starting a fight and Freddie had to stop the show.
I understand that they had to start early in Ireland for security reasons. But there's another famous Magic-Tour pic, in which you can see the band from behind, waving good-bye to the crowd and it's still daylight as well. Where is that pic from ? Too lazy to search...

I think it was Slane Castle, which (I might be wrong) is in Ireland?
I used to have one of those as wallpaper, with all the tour location and dates.
Yes, Regor, the picture you described is from the same concert.
And you are right about Slane Castle, it's probably inaccurate to call it "Dublin" but it's the same show, the only Magic Tour concert in Ireland.
Okay, I see.
Nice topic - I would like to see more pics from the magic tour - not because it was the best, but the concerts were so big with huge audiences.
We all know the common pics from Wembley, Knebworth and Budapest, Slane Castle in this particular case. But I'd like to see more of the other outdoor gigs from '86: France, Spain, Stockholm and so on. Is there a source for that ? All the other fanpages tend to have the same sort of pics.
To start with, Roger's pic in the "Live Magic"-sleeve is undoubtedly my hometown cologne - the floodlight is unmistakable.
Regor, queenfcg.de have some unusual pictures from Mannheim and Köln in their multimedia--> foto section.
I remember that Queenzoner Fredo had some photos from Frejus but I am not sure if they were ever uploaded. Maybe Martin has them on Queenconcerts.com
Thanks YV, great Pics !!! Especially the one in cologne from the back of the stadium, very impressive - damn, I got my first Queen-Tape just a month after that concert... too late !
Thanks MrScully, looking forward to the new version of your site !
(although the current version is already superb !)
