I don't know if anyone else thinks the same but I would guess that filming the video for The Miracle was probably quite emotional for Freddie. My reason for thinking - the fact he wears his Wembley costume in the shoot. If I was Freddie I would have found it emotional/difficult to do that simply because of the situation. I'd performed one of my best tours in that outfit and would never tour again... despite my love for it.
Thoughts?

I surpose. I never thought of that. I think he may have got over it by late 1989. I'm not sure though.
good point... but we all know he had a HUGE love of touring and also the fact he was extremely disconsolate after Knebworth, almost as if he knew that it was his last ever show
I don't think so. He could wear the same socks that he wore at 1986 'till 1991 - but I don't think it brang him some painful memories.
This outfit was a part of his stage style and he wore it pretending 'live performance' of 'The Miracle'. That's it!

By all accounts I've read, he hated touring: enjoyed performing, but hated touring. As he said himself, he didn't want to do Wembley. We'll never know what would have happened post Wembley if he hadn't become ill, but I wouldn't have been surprised if they hadn't toured anyway.

Id been thinking that. My angle was, when he last wore it he was on top, A Kind of Magic had gone double platinum, etc, etc. and he was still a fit, strong guy. Now just 3 years on he was looking death in the face and much weaker/thinner
The video is utter rubbish.
The concept is crap - I had no desire to see four kids prancing about after being given the AWESOME I Want It All and Breakthru' videos. Add to that the fact that the kids look *nothing like* any of the members of Queen too.
I think the miracle video is great and if i am right i remember reading something on the video not long after he died i think it was a magazine article stating that the miracle video was all freddie's idea to give the fans the feeling that they would soon come back as a live act which the video portrays, same stage and now we know he was just covering his tracks to fooling us that he was in fact dying.
In that case now we can watch miracle in a different light as that was really freddie and the band on stage for the very last time.

The concept is crap - Imagine the wait we had between the last release from A Kind Of Magic (and the last Knwebworth show) - 3 years went by and sudenly we are given the AWESOME I Want It All and Breakthru' videos.

I don't like the video either. Nor do I like the song that much, no matter how emotional that has been for the gang. The idea was good, but they could have done a lot better. I would have loved to see more of the real guys.
I don't like the video much at all either. I like the end though when Queen appear. That's my only favorite bit of that specific video. I love the song though.
