i have a question.... do you agree with me that either brian roger and john are the best, but without freddie neither one of them would achive what he did without freddie as a frontman? if tim staffel had stayed the singer-would they be were they are today? and if not-do they have the right to go to this tour under the name "queen"-while doing it with another frontman? and before you start to hate me-im a big fan for many years from israel. queen is a very big part thing in my life-and im gonna be in london to see the show in the new tour. it is just making me very sad that freddie cant be part of it. queen is not complete without him.
sorry mister "bohemian"... but i have another things to do other than write replies just to be "bohemian".. i have life man... try to get a life too man... close the computer and go out!!! its a new year!
Sorry if i offend anyone on this topic but hey im a queen fan of 20years plus and imo if brian may wasn't around and freddie still was the queen sound would be gone as i think queen is brian may and his unique sound takes it to another dimension , but could you imagine a normal sounding guitar backing the rest of the band wouldn't sound at all like queen alright you would have freddie's outstanding vocals but no "queen" sound.
So what i'm saying basically queen without freddie fronting them irreplacable but queen without brian totally finished.
the distinctive guitar sound is not "the queen" trademark
he's done some shit-awful sounds with that guitar in other projects - just ask Anita Dobson for one
the "queen sound" is
1. freddie's vocals
2. freddie's piano
3. brian's guitar
4. roger's r n r harmonies
5. john's bass
6. the entire fucking band
whatver element you remove - it no longer sounds like queen - although i have to say - if you picked one element to reproduce - i guess with modern guitar synthesis - the "Brian" sound would be easiest to accomplish
