Unfortunatly The Darkness have been confirmed as the main support so I guess those who wanted a tribute band have got their wish shame it had to be the worst of the bunch! The Muse would have been so much better.
Oh definate UK dates at Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow & London all I know at the moment is the Manchester date is early May at the M.E.N. Arena should imagine all the UK dates will be within the same week! Oh not being clever here I happen to know a couple of people who work at the M.E.N. they were expecting a touring version of WWRY but obviously its the real deal!!!
The rumour about The Darkness has been denied by the webmaster at link:
"Succinctly put. There is no truth in these rumours. "The Muse", eh? Clearly someone who's very well informed and knows what they're talking about." link
I would assume the rest of the information about venues is dubious then too?
I would have loved Culture Club... But they don't exist anymore... I think.
A band I would really be interested in is MUSE. I only saw them live once. But perhaps they consider themselves beyond supporting other acts. Them drunk bastards of Status Quo would be nice too ofcourse.
JJ72 might have been nice too.
why does everyone one on here do nothing but put the darkness down there are one of the best live bands around now just like queen where in they day, they go out and do what everyone else isnt the darkness dares to be different just like queen did so it's good Qun have influenced what i think is the great rock group since Queen.
They not just a oasis sorry Beatles wanna be band and if there did tour with Queen & Paul Rodgers i would be over the moon
Maybe its just that some people don't like the Darkness! Sorry but I just don't like them in fact I think they could be an OK rock band if it wasn't for that voice it just grates!
BTW Manchester M.E.N. is definate only the date is tbc. If its not the Darkness and lets hope it isn't I would expect a "name" support! hopefully a newer band don't really want to see Quo again we had to endure them at Wembley & Knebworth! Whatever happened to Belouis Some? lol
The reason that people put The Darkness down is because Justin can't (or won't) sing. I saw them supporting Def Leppard a couple of years back, and I was looking forward to seeing them after all the hype... They were one of the worst bands I have ever seen. Justin's voice was out of tune, the falsetto thing was overused and grated, and he was full of ego without the talent to back them up. If they were supporting I would be extremely dissapointed. I would like to see Soul Sirkus, but expect Wire Daisys.
