Yes I just got mine. What fun. I'm 18 in March and I finally get my learner's permit now! Anyway I have been driving a bit and I don't really find it very fun. I'd rather be in the back seat........but we won't go there!
Yeah seriously. I'd rather have someone who is a male and *not* my cousin give me a ride in his car or anywhere else for that matter! :-)

I enjoy driving - it can be fun when you've got music on, etc.
My boyfriend is scared to be in the car with me when I am driving...I can say the same about him, too, tho. ;^P
I was actually listening to some Strauss while driving on the way here. It was nice. I can't wait to have the car speakers to myself when I get my lisence! I have to listen to classical or celtic or some earlier rock, like the kinks (somewhat like the beatles) when my parents are there or they complain. My mom complains even at the kinks. I guess it will help when Mom isn't in the car going, "BRAKE!" every other second! :-)
Yep, it helps. I have been driving for years now, but she still tells me when to slow down and I still get a bit edgy when she's with me. She says I'm "too speedy," whatever that means. ;^)
My dad still gets scared and he does still lecture us once in a while when me and my sister are driving and he's on the passanger's seat, even though we're safer drivers than he is. We got our licenses over 5 years ago, I think it's about time that he realizes that we're experienced enough.
Congrats! I can remember when I get my learner's permit, I was all excited. Now that I have my license, getting to drive is not a big thing for me as it used to be.
Good show. I remember when I first got my license. I nearly ran over Leonardo da Vinci.
But I regard myself as a good driver. Or should I say better than my friends. My dad's a cop you see and he has done many a high speed pursuit/HSP courses and has passed on the gift of being absolutely calm on the road.
I wanted to go to driving school and my mom said first that she would pay for it, but then she decided it was too expensive and she prefered to teach me herself. Last night I was getting rather edgey with her and she said if I kept talking to her that way she wouldn't let me drive at all, etc, etc. Oh dear. I did want to go to driving school. I really want to be a good driver. Thank goodness a friend who is a lawyer and a flute player volunteered to teach me to parellel park. Mom isn't even good at that to begin with! :o
