Somebody to Love and Play the Game the most emotional ??? You must be kidding.. I think STL is kinda fun song.. not emotional.. PTG is just a good song, not more.. the most emotional are Mother Love and Show Must Go on and No-one but you. The 2nd most emotional are TOo much love will kill you and who want's to live forever.. or I think these are the most emotional. I saw that someone said My Melancoly blues.. yes that kan be very emotional.. when are blues-songs NOT emotional ? :) |

"Is this the World We Created?" (That one especially live. It tears me up everytime on the Live Aid DVD and Wembley.) "Who Wants To Live Forever" (Always struck me as being very emotional. After finding the hidden version on GVH2 with the kids singing, it's been 10 times that.) "Too Much Love Will Kill You" (Very moving song. Loads of emotion in that.) "Teo Torriatte (Let Us Cling Together)" (Mainly just the verses as the chorus is more uplifting, but it's a very poignant song.) "No One But You (Only the Good Die Young)" (The first time I heard it, it made me cry and I had to turn it off halfway through the first chorus. It was shortly after a kid at my school drowned, and it just tore me apart.) "Nevermore" (So beautiful. So intricate. So emotional.) "White Queen (As It Began)" (The whole concept of the song causes a great exertion of feeling.) "Bijou" (The guitar bit is emotional enough to have me convinced.) "Bohemian Rhapsody" (Such a tragic song, really. You can hear so much emotion in Freddie's voice...such torment, such agony...) |

Heaven For Everyone is quite powerful lyrically, as is Too Much Love Will Kill You. It really depends on the context really, I think It's A Hard Life is another one that captures Freddie in one his fragile states of mind. |

Mother Love! Followed by other such as Days of our Lives and The Show Must Go On. Others would be Save Me and maybe You Take My Breath Away. |
WKMahlerMahlers.Com 23.10.2014 19:54 |
wow, too many to list "Father To Son" although at times Freddie gets buried by the rest of the band. "My Fairy King", the screams oh my God, I can understand why Freddie never did this live in full, not just the snippet jams live 1984. "Save Me", the most emotional song from "The Game" "Who Wants To Live Forever" This song well it never was given justice live though, not even Freddie could pull this off live, but had he lived, could Queen and VH1 or MTV had a "Unplugged" concert with this song? Sadly we will never know but it would've rocked to hear this song with an orchestra and choir. "You Take My Breath Away" complete with the vocal overdubs, clearly and hands don the most emotional song off of "A Day At The Races"k. like I wrote before, too many to list. |

Holly2003 24.10.2014 02:51 |
Emotional doesn't have to mean sad. Death on Two Legs and Scandal are based on angry emotions. I Can't Live With You is bitter-sweet. There's something about the combination of music and lyrics in All Dead, All Dead that's very sad though. |
tomchristie22 24.10.2014 06:38 |
The King Of Rhye wrote: All Dead All Dead should be up there.............even though its about Brians cat................To an extent it is, but I think it can be taken as a contemplation of death in general. In that interview, he only said that it was in part inspired by his musing on the cat dying when he was much younger - it was about more than just that. I would put All Dead, All Dead and Nevermore as the most emotionally moving for me. |

Holly2003 wrote: Emotional doesn't have to mean sad.Good point - it's interesting that sadness is the emotion everyone's immediately thought of. Happiest Queen songs, in my view: - You're My Best Friend - You and I - Leroy Brown - not happy in subject matter, but very jovial to listen to, it's hard not to smile. - I Was Born to Love You Sleeping on the Sidewalk and Long Away have a carefree sort of feeling to them, but not quite joyful. |
tcc 26.10.2014 08:31 |
A lot of people feel emotional about Mother Love because it seems to convey Freddie's feelings. However, if the lyrics were written by Brian, the song would not be Freddie's own feelings. |
tomchristie22 26.10.2014 18:57 |
Freddie wasn't feeling up to writing at the time - Brian's observations of him/how he imagined he'd feel are the closest thing we can get. |
matt z 27.10.2014 12:25 |
Well. With Freddie's delivery they're all emotional... I'd say Prophet's Song... that or the show must go on....wwtlf. Dangit. They're damn near ALL emotional. Maybe that's why I like the band so. |

Save Me. I didn't care for the song until, as a latecomer, Queen's Video Hits made me realise how beautiful the video was and enlightened me to the song message. It's A Hard Life really gives me the feels too. |

anyone forget the gem "Doing Alright"? Not just track two from Queens first album, but a concert mainstay as far as 1976..just listened to it live in Osaka 76 and Freddie never ceases to amaze me with this song live but my favorite version is from the studio, "At The Beeb" |

Bowie once said that he couldn't think of one Queen song that would make you cry. I agree and up until 'Where Are We Now?' I'd say the same about Bowie's stuff. It's too stylised. Doesn't grab me in that way. I think TWTDOOL may do if you actually knew him, but I can't get emotionally attached to someone who I only said 'Hi' to on a couple of occasions. |
Day dop 03.11.2014 11:29 |
Not exactly a Queen number, but Freddie's Love Me Like There's No Tomorrow is an emotional one. |

Don't try so hard The show must go on And, not a Queen song, but I like Brians version of TMLWKY better than the Queenversion. Lots of emotions in Brians voice. |
matt z 08.11.2014 06:33 |
Depending on when that Bowie quote comes from he's either an idiot or thinking about their pompous stuff. I've heard it before. But my melancholy blues, save me, who wants to live forever, and most of innuendo can qualify. Maybe he just wasn't current with their music. IT happens! honestly. I don't get what the big hub ub is about Bowie ... From PIN UPS to SCARY MONSTERS he really didn't have much worth a shit. Some generic wannabe soul songs and a single on YOUNG AMERICANS and one off of LODGER But what else? ... Termites? Would have wood have? Is cocaine to blame? |

«"Mother Love" was the final song co-written by Mercury and May, and was also Mercury's last ever vocal performance.[4] Mercury's vocals for Mother Love were recorded between 13–16 May 1991.[5] On his website, May discussed the writing process he and Mercury had (writing both separately and together, and conscious of the nature of the song and the lyrics). Upon reaching the final verse, Freddie told May that he had to go and "have a rest", but that he would return later and finish it. After that, Freddie never made it back to the studio, and thus May sang the last verse on the track.» source: Wikipedia. |
