just because im a newbie, is there any reason for those smart-ass comments. Ive been using google for 5 years. and I have done some web searchs, however they do prove inconclusive. I just assumed, the most knowledgeable people to ask, would be you lot as you are queen fans anyway, your reaction. If your friend were to ask you a question, you wouldnt go, you havent heard of an encyclopedia have you? jeez, if you didnt want to see my thread. you never needed to read it. |

Ok. I'm sorry. The answer to your question which i have just looked up is... Queens last recording session were in sept and oct 1991. Obviously they were the last ever sessions with freddie. I'm not too sure on just how many tracks were recorded within that month but i think it was only 2. |
deleted user 27.12.2004 13:12 |
Don't take my answer correctly because i just got my info of the internet and you shouldn't always believe everything you read on other peoples web sites. They could also be wrong. I think the information i got is right though. |
bigc 27.12.2004 13:15 |
sorry, I wasnt annoyed at you joe anyways. |
bigc 27.12.2004 13:33 |
lol. nah im sure you're definitely a kool person I just thought id stick up for myself. its hardly like I committed the cardinal sin and asked if John is gonna be on the tour, or why he retired? or worse still, mis-spelt freddie lol |

Linda thinks that she has all the right in the world to tell people to fuck off because she has the almighty Royalty status, even though her brain is not even past the Newbie stage. |

Don't be lazy to check some good threads on this notice board! It's not so hard. And answering your question - there was a huge topic about the date of recording session of Mother Love and most sourses says it was at Autumn 1991, but - who knows... |

According to David Richards, he was recording Mother Love with Freddie 12 days before he died...that's pretty amazing that Fred was singing until then. I'm wondering though...how much stuff was recorded? As It Began mentions that Fred called the band back to the studio in January......I suppose that it's possible that the only 3 things they worked on from January to November were Mother Love, You Don't Fool Me, and then later in the year, A Winter's Tale.... Maybe there's ideas for other songs that didn't end up with final vocals. I guess we'll find out if the boxsets ever appear. Simon |

What is amazing is the sheer lush power of Freddies voice from those final sessions He had this magical reserve bag of energy & power that in light of how ill he was by then seems almost supernatural Of course he knew that it would be the last time he ever sang on record and this must have been heartbreaking for him and the band but also it would seem to have driven him towards delivering that sort of performance The man truly had massive balls. |

>I'm not sure... I'm really not sure... I ain't >David Richards of course, but as I remember >Freddie couldn't leave his house in last two >weeks... Remember that according to The Untold Story, Fred took himself off medication. I'd say he sang, flew home, and spent 11 days unmedicated. Remember, even the healthiest person could die in 10 days of a bad infection if it's untreated. |

Actually, the last Queen session was on May or June....Freddie's vocals was recorded for "Mother Love". A winter tale was recorded in the end of 1990, I know that. The sources are taken from "Champions of the world", David Richard talked about their last studio session while "Mother love" was playing, and he showed some shits of papers with lyrics and chords. On the bottom of the page was written May 9, '91 |

I don't think it was sung before may 1991 because i remember hearing from various places they were recording all the way up to October 1991. |
Lasepia 30.12.2004 05:14 |
No, there wasn't only the lyrics....that was a studio session... Freddie's health was terrible from june - novebmer, and I doubt that he worked in the studio in that period of time... In october Freddie visited Montreux for the last time, but nowhere said that he was in the studio...So, I think the last Queen studio session was from January to May 1991, and in June they filmed "...days of our lives"...and that's it. But very interesting, are there any other songs from the last session? |
deleted user 30.12.2004 17:36 |
Roger, Freddie and John started to film the video to These are the days of our lives on may 30th 1991 and Brtian was shot shortly after. I've heard that from everywhere so it was definately filmed in May but Brian in early June. |

John.Simon wrote: Last recording was November 1991 - recorded song Mother Lovei don't get your point, pal. your posts are somewhat annoyous and misleading. didn't you notice that you have stated in another thread that the last session was in spring ? stop trolling, start reading! it's pretty obvious for FMs decease that there was NO session in 11/91. posting your sh*t over and over again doesn't make it the truth. the last session seems to have taken place in 05/91. that's what we have evidence for. i personally think that the video shot of 'days of our lives' was mr.mercury's final attempt to donate sth. to the queen legacy. as we know there was a video of this very song shelved which hasn't the freddie-performance. that because no-one knew if he would stand the shot. for this video being produced in late spring under given circumstances there surely was no thing like a session in november. bottom line. |

well to add sth to this discussion: Brian was not present at the shooting of "These Are..." I think nobody answered the question: when did all four work in the studio together? honestly, I have no idea...I seriously doubt that John or Freddie were present during "Lost opportunity"... "Mother Love" was a thing Brian worked with Freddie "A Winter's tale" is Freddie, pretty much solo "You don't fool me" sounds like sth DR culled from a jam, so that could be the answer |
Kacio 09.02.2012 11:54 |
last session with Freddie was in 6/91 probably... but I think that the last time was between September-October |
