I had a look. Impressed with the box. That's about all. Mind you I've never considered listening to Nirvana 'cause I'm a complaining ass-hat most of the time. I'll get 'round to it...just like I'm getting round to listening to Led Zepplin.

Kurt Cobain got what he deserves: his brains blown all over the floor.
And he fuckin' misspelled Freddie's name. It's Fred-die, not Fred-dy, idiot.
What's the deal with Nirvana?
What annoys me the most is when little kids admire Kurt Cobain. Why's that anyway?
Because it's cool to be a drug addict and violent and sing about raping and things like that? And have a baby with a drug addict who did heroin during her pregnancy? I've got some of their albums but I couldn't care less about Kurt Cobain and Courtney. Although Courtney's music is much better than Nirvana's anyway...
I'm just gonna have to disagree with you there, Sonja.
Courtney Love's music is so bad, that it can't even be considered music. She might have had a couple of good songs, but the rest is complete crap.
Grunge was good for it's time, but it was way too depressing genre. So no wonder it didn't last for that long.

People are taking things so far by saying that Kurt Cobain deserved a bullet through his head.
Sure Kurt had a lot of problems dealing with drug abuse and depression, but in the end Kurt seemed like a very charismatic and talented fella. What I like about Kurt was that his music was very underground, obsucre, and prety much anti everything that was hip, hot, and cool before Nirvana released 'Nevermind'. In his own mind Kurt never thought nor expected to become as big as he was, and he was cool with that. I think that's perhaps one of the reasons why he felt unhappy with his life after achieving so much success, because Nirvana and grunge ended up becoming what he always stood against... a money making mainstream genre for greedy corporate record label executives.
What I truly admire about Kurt was that after all his success, he was still the humble guy from Seattle dressed up in old flannel shirts, dirty jeans, and converse sneakers. You would expect him to become a self-loving arrogant prick like Bono, but Kurt after becoming a rock star was still Kurt.
Nirvana is definitely overated and it sure doesn't deserve to be in the same league as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, or The Stones, as some music critics would put them.
One thing for sure is that music critics deserve far more to have a bullet through their heads, than Kurt Cobain ever did.
I'm only a casual fan of Nirvana, so the box-set doesn't interest me too much. Anyway, it'd probably be a better idea for me to buy their other studio albums before spending $60 on a box-set!

Well, that also belonged to his image, it was the thing back then when grunge was big but if he was still around today I don't think he'd still dress like that if he had millions on his bank.
Don't get me wrong. I think they were alright for their time, I liked them a lot when I was 14, 15 or so but now I can't see what's so good about their music anymore and even less about Kurt Cobain.
You actually didn't need much talent or brain to make that kind of music.

Actually, Hole's music was pretty damn good. The Song "I Think That I Would Die" makes me cry.
I can't say I know a whole lot of 'Hole' songs but didn't they do 'Malibu'? If so I quite like that song. If not..then.. I still quite like that song.
I just can't get myself to listen to Led Zepplin.. it's like a crusade.
