Do you think peole would accept more of Queen going on tour if It would be just John, Brian and Roger without a lead singer and have Brian and Roger take up the vocals? What do you guys think?
Well, I lived that dream for about 10 seconds on the day of the 1992 tribute. The three of them came on, Brian took the lead vocals, and... the first of a dozen invited vocalists entered the stage. :/

It would be good. I would love to see John play with them again.
The basic problem you've got with just John, Brian and Roger going on tour is that none of them can sing particularly well and you'd end up up with something nowhere near as good as what's gone before...
Yes I know Brian and Roger make and sing on solo records... but how many people outside to confines of Queen fansites actually listen to them?... even I like them for what they are, but vocally they don't compare with those who's main instrument is their voice... how much of Rogers' voice on Electric fire hasn't got synthesised effects all over it to give it more oomph?
personally I think Rodgers is probably the best living vocalist today... and to have him on board doing something fresh and new is very exciting :o)
I think people would accept it more, but the likelihood of it happening is slim. Especially with John effectively retired and how reluctant Brian and Roger are to handle the vocals themselves. They're always appearing with the cast of the musical or other artists, which is probably because they're not in love with the idea of being lead vocalists for a whole concert, let alone an entire tour.
Roger and Brian are excellent singers if you think about it - but just not so great live, when they should be concentrating on doing what they're best at.

..and he was actually very good.. i mean joe elliott, of course... but nvrmind... a couple of months ago i wrote on another message board that my dream is to see 4 of'em... brian, roger, john and spike on piano... and just them... no hired singers, no girls singin' with'em... but i'm startin to think that "the paul rodgers solution" is the better one maybe... or maybe not.. we'll see in a couple of months :)
I think they should use a selection of singers from the WWRY musicals, at least they can sing and to most people they are unknowns. By picking the right person for the right song we might here something remotely like the old days. I'm not saying I don't agree with this Q+PR tour I just think it would have been better with the WWRY singers. In the end this whole thing has come about because Brian & Roger enjoyed working with PR, so if that had happened there might be no tour at all. Lets all be grateful after all after 1991 I thought that was it for ever and now look what we've got - the musicals, this tour and maybe even a new album.
