It was quite overlooked, and understandably so considering the tour news, but at the Cologne aftershow party they played I'm in Love With My Car with Roger on vocals. I'm not sure if Brian played guitar on this one, but if he did, they could quite possibly be giving it an initial run-through for the '05 Tour. I believe it was said way back before the confirmation of the tour that if they did play some dates, Rog and Bri would take up lead vocals on a few songs, and this could quite possibly be one of Roger's entries.
Can you imagine seeing them perform this song with Roger singing from behind his drum kit? It would bring back glorious memories of '77-'81.
Also, Sleeping on the Sidewalk was played with Brian on vocals, so perhaps this falls into the same category.
hmm .. could be great :)
I would also love to hear Sail Away Sweet Sister by Bri on vocals and ye .. I may be the only one here .. but also Radio Ga Ga by Roger
I agree with you Hankster...I have grown to love his version of GaGa...it has a charm to it. Freddie did it with pure "balls out" flair that was especially prevalent at Live Aid, but Roger's versions are more subtle, and better for it.

Well if they do the tour, I would hope he'd get in shape, as yes, I can't imagine him being able to manage several nights on the trot. remember Roger's not had any real reason to keep drum-fitness in the last 18 years!
They should definitely perform this track!I mean,it's a perfect situation to do it.First of all it hasn't been performed live (not counting WWRY) for more than 20 years and second thing is-that's Roger's "momentum",besides GaGa.It would be great omission if they don't put it on the set list!
"Can you imagine seeing them perform this song with Roger singing from behind his drum kit?"
I really doubt Roger will sing a complete song behind his kit. I really doubt Roger will be drumming at all (I'm talking REAL drumming here)
It would be great if they put I'm in love with my car in the set. I think it's the best song (where he sings in it) that Roger ever wrote. I think Roger feels very well for the new tour. This will give him new energy, so he can play the drums and sing at the same time. I have confidence in this.
Rog played I'm In Love With My Car during his 99 solo tour and also with The Cross in the early days. So it would be very interesting to hear it again!
Heaven For Everyone would be great to hear I have to say.
