Queen have been legendary and a very important part of people's lives for 30 years due to your association with Fred and the magic that was there.
Please don't turn into yet another comeback group gone wrong. It is oh so easy to drag quality down the toilet without intending to do so.
Leave it alone - it is all too good to revamp.
As much as I would probably automatically buy a ticket for every show, as I have with yours and Roger's uk shows, Fred ain't around and this was apparent on the award show. No disrespect to Paul as he is excellent in his own right. Carry on as solo artists by all means but please don't go under the Queen tag.
How will you and Roger feel if Queen are remembered for a poor revamp after 2006?
Much love - Philip ( a die hard fan since mar '75)
No one would or could ever replace Freddie but I firmly belive he would like the others to carry on and their music to always be remembered and enjoyed through tours and gigs...Junexx
There are a few that could sing with them..both George Michael and the lead singer from extreme( his names on the tip of me tongue!) did incredibally well at freddies memorial concert and Darkness are massive fans and have the ability too...I think Brian and Roger both look on it as being a tribute to freddie and a privelige to the stand in...no one ever will replace him and everyone knows that and would never try...
I think this is a good experiment. For many have journed to see Queen, and many haven't because of money. This is the closest people can get to see Queen. I don't think Freddie is being replaced. Just like mysterymermaid said, I think they are carring on the music.
I don't know where anyone is getting the idea that they're replacing Freddie, it's laughable lol
Paul Rodgers isn't suddenly becoming a member of Queen, he's just performing with them on stage.
I assumed this would be blindingly obvious..
He's taking time out of his solo career to perform with some old friends for a tour. Simple as that.
