Is there any worldwide or local (in your country) celebrities who are real Queen fans (or maybe OIQFC members even)? If you know about someone - post his/her name here. |

Brazilian famous F1 racer Ayrton Senna was one of the Queen fans. And years after his death caused by car crash in 1994, the album titled "Tribute to Senna" was released, which includes "I Want It All". Besides, opera singer Luciano Pavarotti was one of Freddie's friends and fans and I hear he praised "Too Much Love Will Kill You" highly... |

The controversial goalkeeper Jose Luis Chilavert from Paraguay is also a Queen fan. Mike Myers admitted that he will always remember the first time he heard 'Bohemian Rhapsody' on the radio, and that's why he decided to include it on 'Wayne's World'. I don't know if he's actually a fan. As for musicians who are HARD-CORE fans... Axl Rose, Taylor Hawkins, Gary Cherone, Nuno Bettancourt, Taylor Hawkins, Robbie Willams, George Michael, Dave Grohl and (believe it or not) Garth Brooks. As for musicians who have either admitted the Queen influence on them, or have praised them on interviews... Kurt Cobain, Seal, Billy Corgan, Metallica, Paul Young, Zucchero, Sheryl Crowe, Jon Bon Jovi, Lisa Stansfield, Katie Melua, Sebastian Bach, Michael Stipe, Slash, Sum 41, Lilix, Muse, Mandy Moore, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Cypress Hill. |

Alice Cooper was an admirer of Freddie. He said he had the greatest voice ever. Page, Plant, Jagger, McCartney, Lennon, all members of ABBA, all of Guns N' Roses, Michael Fish (U.K newsreader), Noddy Holder, Katie Melua, Elton John, Paul Rogers, Matt Lucas, David Bowie (and anyone else who played at the tribute concert), Melanie C, Robbie Williams, Russell Watson, Darkness, Ben Elton, George Michael, Extreme, Def Leppard, Mike Myres?, Muse, Radiohead, Me and anyone else with good taste. |

Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue is a MAJOR Queen fan, so is Tracii Guns, of LA Guns and yes, Guns and Roses - he was the guitarist before Slash... |

Harry Connick Jr was recently on a program mentioning Freddie Mercury as one of his favorite performers. I don't recall the conversation exactly, but he had a fair amount to say on the subject. Freddie was the topic, he didn't just throw the name out as part of a list of favorite performers. The program was looking back at events in the year 1991. |

Jane Saunders of "French and Saunders" fame. Ben Elton flew her out to Vegas to see the musical as she is a big fan of Queen (was in our Aussie magazines, along with some cool photos) - including the after show gig. |

Doubt ALL these people were/are actually FANS! There's a difference between just admirance and being a fan! Now Taylor Hawkins and Dave Grohl ARE fans! |
LittQueenie 20.12.2004 18:33 |
Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue is definitely a FAN. He mentions Queen all of the time as an influence and Queen was actually one of the first concerts he attended....he has all of their albums and also credits Queen as a major influence in his songwriting......Brian has actually recently mentioned the Motley Crue reunion...Brian said he likes Motley Crue and wished them luck....how cool!!! Nikki would love to hear that. |
mike hunt 20.12.2004 18:38 |
queen's influence is endless, it go's on and on, that leaves me to a fellow fan on this site who said they only influenced the "darkness", proved my point in some of the people on site know nothing about queen. |

No question mark about it, Sir Elton was DEFINITELY a Queen fan. Ever since Live Aid, and RIGHTFULLY SO! |

I recall Sharon Osbourne and maybe Ozzy saying that they loved Queen and Freddie in an interview on I Love the '70's on Vh1. I think Sharon may have said something along the lines of: I don't think I have heard a Queen song I didn't like. Of course I could have dreamed this up and it could be complete b.s., so don't quote me. |

Does anyone know if any members of KISS were Queen fans or whether they met each other?? considering Queen toured the USA 5 times from 1975-80, I would have thought they might have crossed paths. Gene Simmons has said 'We Will Rock You' is he's favourite song. Does anyone have pics of Queen and KISS members together?? |
