Watch link "March 19, 2005 in South Africa at Fancourt, the Nelson Mandela 46664 Aids Awareness Concert launches the tour that travels through England and Europe in the spring and North America in the fall. " |

MarchOfTheDirtQueen wrote: Okay, my turn to bitch and complain about the boards. Well, actually just this board. How many seperate threads are we going to have for the bloody tour??? And if it's not about the tour, it's about Paul Rodgers... And if it's not about Paul Rodgers or the tour, it's about John Deacon (my personal favourite).Sorry for being rude, but: I'm tired of reading 100% stupid comments like this one. Why some people doesn't realize this is the most relevant Queen related new about the Queen world since Nov 24th 1991? Hey man, this is a Queen fans page! There should be even more open topics about this subject. |
Lester Burnham 17.12.2004 20:15 |
I'm glad somebody posted a new thread about this, for I've stopped checking the numerous other Queen & Paul Rodgers tour threads, and if this had been posted in one of them, I never would've known. There is a slight undertone of sarcasm there, but I'm actually grateful this was posted. |
goinback 17.12.2004 22:20 |
Actually I wouldn't have seen this news about the USA if not for this thread either...I stopped reading the other ones. But is that true? It says North America...could that just mean Canada or something? What is their following like in Canada compared to the US? |
jericho05 17.12.2004 23:24 |
Now there is an entire section devoted to the 2005 tour so everyone can post about it there. Check it out. |
The Real Wizard 18.12.2004 01:35 |
Perhaps a moderator (YV, Richard?) could move all of the tour-related topics to this new section? Agreed, this is the biggest Queen-related news since Freddie died. There should also be a separate section for people to bitch about it. |
boy of destiny 18.12.2004 02:55 |
IMO Queen's following is strong here in Canada than in the States. We're not nearly as homophobic. If they only tour the States however, I already told my wife we're going. |
Hankster 18.12.2004 03:06 |
you're right MarchOfTheDirtQueen! there's already a topic about THIS news, and I guess 25 other topics about the tour too .. And at Paul's site, I don't read about America .. |
tomnever 18.12.2004 07:11 |
OK... This is intersting to know where and when will be the first date This is a Queen fan section Next year is the first tour since 19 years So F*** YOU becayse I wanted to brought an interesting news to you (and was the first here to do I think). I'm tired of your negativeness. |
tomnever 18.12.2004 07:30 |
There wasn't any threads abopit this subject when I posted it, the proff is that it was transformed into a news title in the QZ home page.... And about America you're right, it's written "North America" on PR site, but it was too long on the thread title. And I don't think they will play in Groenland. |
Hankster 18.12.2004 07:38 |
and take a look at; link |
tomnever 18.12.2004 07:47 |
Well for a major news, it was well hidden. And after all I don't care. You're so negative. |
tomnever 18.12.2004 07:58 |
I guess U're the kind of people who prefers to read and comment posts like "What songs Freddie wrote while having a blowjob". This is IHateQueenZone.com |
Hankster 18.12.2004 08:13 |
no, I don't even bother reading other poeple comments in that kind of topics. But what does irritate me, is that there're I don't know how many topics about the same things. But I guess that's just me .. |
tomnever 18.12.2004 08:55 |
Maybe indeed |

I have a message for all the ones who are sick and tired of hearing about the new tour, and strongly disagree with the idea. - If possible try to stay away from any Queen related websites, because all you will hear in 2005 is about the tour. - Don't go to threads talking about the subject. - Don't read news about the tour - Don't go to Brian's website (he will eventually forget about WWRY in 2005, and talk about mostly the tour). - And most of all, don't go to see any of the concerts during the tour (not like you're being forced anyways)... ...Although I'm sure that a big part of those who do nothing but bitch about it, will end up changing their minds since this might be their only chance to see Brian and Roger on stage. |

Do you enjoy the musical? If not - should you listen to Queen and check Queen related sites? Sometimes I think that guys like you in future would find and kill all Queen fans who doesn't like the idea of Queen reunion with Paul Rodgers... |

Thanks, nomnever, for posting a new thread about these important news. The quotation in tomnever's initial post is correct. The statement did originally say: "and North America in the fall". Meanwhile this part has been removed from the website. |

Thanx Mr Jingles and thanx M. As Monty Pythons said : always look at the bright side of life... BE HAPPY QUEEN FANS! NEW MUSIC AND CONCERTS IN 2005 !!! If not, I really start to wonder if U really appreciate them. |
Fenderek 18.12.2004 14:51 |
Not very often I agree with Mr Jingles, but this time he's absolutely right. If you're so pissed off about everything that has anything to do with the tour- for your own good do not buy a=ny music papers, don't go into Queen- rel;etad site etc- because it really is going to be everywhere. Whether you like it or not... For general rock audience (not only hard core fans) it's a hot news- great guitarist and excellent drummer are going on tour with one of the best singers EVER and are going to play some Free, Bad Company and Queen tracks. Man- it really is hot news!!! If you don't like it- tough shit as you're going to hear it all the time throughout the whole next year!!! Man- when the tour finally starts- you'll see than how many threads we're going to have!!!! |
tomnever 18.12.2004 16:09 |

Well, if I'm not pissed off about the tour but just 'pissed off' about using 'Queen' name - what should I do then? You all always tell us what we should do if we don't like this or don't like that. If you don't like newbies - find another notice board then, right? Is this your position? Fenderek, I respect you and don't want to start another one discussion about that. The end. |
mike hunt 18.12.2004 19:52 |
i wanted to start a topic about the states, but you beat me to it, what's the big deal, actually i thought it was a big deal, that's why i checked in here. everyone knew queen were going to tour, but know one knew they were planning on comming to the states. I happened to here it on the radio, he mentioned their playing in north america in the fall, that was news to me. |
Megamike The GREAT 18.12.2004 20:01 |

Is this what we call rational conversation? |
Megamike The GREAT 19.12.2004 11:15 |
If you go back to Paul Rogers site, you will find that they took any reference to the US out.. |
Ray D O'Gaga 19.12.2004 12:05 |
But you'll notice that the part about North American dates IS mentioned in the news section of Brian May's website, reporting the post from Paul Rodgers' website. If Brian wants to throw cold water on that piece of news, I'm sure he'll do so. Go, go, go little Queen+ie ... screw everybody else. If you don't like it, stay home, cuz nothing you say is going to keep it from happening now. |
YourValentine 19.12.2004 12:26 |
I am surprised about the bitterness and hostility concerning some threads on this forum. Richard has started a new forum (thanks for that) about the upcoming tour. Maybe the "We don't want this tour" type of posters can stay away from tour threads in the future - but usually Queenzoners just post where they want, so you better prepare yourselves for 120 more threads about the tour in the next weeks. We don't move around topics into other forums, I don't even know if this is possible. The reason is that Richard does not care too much about who posts what in which forum. The new forum is just an offer for the users, so hopefully we soon have a forum where the fans can discuss the tour and the other topics stay in the general Queen forum. |
Megamike The GREAT 19.12.2004 12:46 |
Yes Your Highness.. ;-) AND I am just having fun.. it is a joke.. :) about the Tour now, I am convinced that it will not happen in the USA, But I would be very happy to say I was wrong.. |
YourValentine 19.12.2004 13:16 |
I was not referring to you, Mike. I mean the people who keep complaining about - the fact that there will be a tour - that the name Queen is used - that John won't be there I can see that some fans just don't like the whole idea of the tour, therefore it will be good to have two Queen forums now - but there is not much hope that this forum will be "tour free", lol. It's *the* hot topic now. |
Megamike The GREAT 19.12.2004 14:25 |
WHAT? John won't join them? That selfish Bastar..... Oh wait, I am all for him retiring.. he has put his family 2nd for 20+ years while Touring with Queen, he deserves to sit back and enjoy his fruits of his labors.. |
mike hunt 19.12.2004 14:32 |
yes it is, if they record a new queen album that's the only news that could be bigger and of course if john comes out of hiding, now that would be huge. |

I'm all for people expressing their feelings about the whole endeavour, pro and con, and I completely understand that many people aren't enthusiastic about the tour et cetera and I understand why. What I don't understand or appreciate is those same people never passing up an opportunity to piss on the enthusiasm of the rest of us by making the same negative comments again and again everytime the topic is broached. I can only assume its their way of extracting their pound of flesh from the project - they can't stop it from happening, so they're bound and determined to take as much joy and fun out of it for the rest of us as they possibly can. In other words, the Debbie Downers of Queen fandom. Give it a rest, guys. Let us have our fun. |
