HI TO ALL FOLK'S,I'M NEW TO THE LIST,SO YOU'S MAY HAVE ALREADY DISCUSSED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE UP-COMING TOUR,IVE BEEN A LIFELONG FAN,SUPPORTED QUEEN IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE,BOUGHT ALL THE STUFF,SAW THE ORIGINAL BAND 13 TIMES,& MANY SOLO SHOWS,I'D LOVE IT TO STAY THAT WAY..THE 4 MEMBERS OF ORIGINAL QUEEN WERE AS IMPORTANT TO THE BAND AS EACH OTHER,WITHOUT ANY MEMBER IT WOULD'NT HAVE BEEN GOOD I THINK,BUT SPECIALLY FREDDIE.BRIAN AND ROGER CANT RE LIVE THE PAST,IT CAN NEVER BE THE SAME,PAUL RODGERS IS A GREAT ROCK SINGER AND I BET MOST OF HIS HARD CORE FANS FEEL THE SAME AS WE DO,HIM SINGING WITH QUEEN,I CAN UNDERSTAND BRIAN & ROGER MISSING THE BIG TOURS,AND THE BUZZ THEY GOT FROM IT,BUT SHOULD'NT TRY AND DO IT AS QUEEN AGAIN,I'D HAVE MUCH PREFERRED BOTH OF THEM GOING OUT ON THE ROAD,EITHER AS SOLO TOURS (WHICH THEY DID WELL),OR EVEN AS A PAIR,BOTH DOING A MINI SOLO SET EACH,THEN BOTH OF THEM PLAYING A SET TOGETHER,WITH EITHER OF THEM SINGING,,THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER I THINK,I CAN ALSO UNDERSTAND,MOST OF THE YOUNG FAN MEMBERS ON THE LIST BEING EXITED ABOUT THIS NEW'S,THEY MIGHT NOT HAVE SEEN THE REAL THING,,,BUT THIS WILL ONLY BE A POOR SECOND BEST..SURE IT MAY BE A BIG FANCY STAGE SET,LOUD SOUND,BUT THE QUEEN MAGIC WONT BE THERE,I MEAN WHAT IF THEY FALL FLAT ON THERE FACE WITH THIS TOUR? (which i'm sure they wont)..WHAT WOULD BE NEXT QUEEN ON TOUR WITH THE BANDS OF THE 70'S??ie THE OSMONDS,ALVIN STARDUST,SWEET,SHOWADDYWADDY??DREADFULL TO THINK ABOUT..CAN ANYONE IMAGINE THE BEATLES RE-FORMING ONLY WITH RINGO & PAUL??OR JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIANCE WITHOUT JIMI??I'M SURE THAT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN,AND I WISH THE SAME WOULD'NT HAPPEN WITH QUEEN..BEING NEW I HOPE I DONT UPSET ANYONE,JUST WONDER HOW MANY MEMBERS LATE 30's EARLY 40's FEEL THE SAME.QUEEN WERE THE BEST BAND EVER LONG MAY IT BE REMEMBERED HOW IT ORIGINALLY WAS....GOD SAVE QUEEN !!! |
brENsKi 17.12.2004 15:01 |
i think you have to get a fix on what this is about....they ALL need to play LIVE...this is a way to meet that end. there's no way they want us to think of this as QUEEN - THE NEXT GENERATION, or QUEEN - EPISODE 3 ATTACK OF THE CLONES this is about rock n roll...the setlist will be rocking numbers and i expect it to be steeped in blues/rock/SMILE=type stuff i would love to see another drummer and Roger as lead singer one final point...DON'T FEKKIN SHOUT!!!! |

Well Roger sharing vocals with Paul Rodgers would be cool and sharing the drums Dave Grohl |
QUEEN11 17.12.2004 15:24 |
Hi Again, but forget about paul rodgers,or even the ex dave.g.and imagine if it were roger & brian only, with other band members of course, roger doing a solo set, playing some of his own classic's,then brian doing the same, then say for the last 40 min's or so,both playing together, sharing the vocal's,,,that would be great i think, and Original...then maybe there would be something for everyone... |

Yeah i do think it may be a mistake to try and tour with only half of Queen. How can they compare with say wembley '86? I think it would have been better to finish on a high, than carry on touring with the remanants of the band... even if they include Brian... |
QUEEN11 17.12.2004 16:23 |
could'nt agree more...they did back then, what nobody could even do now,not even half of queen.. |

ESPECIALLY without Freddie. |

Punctuation, paragraphs... and what the hell is Queen Eleven? Is it a football team whose strip is all pink? |
lottie88 17.12.2004 17:11 |
I am not entirely sure how I feel about them going on tour yet. Initially I was really excited, but then I thought about it, and it really isn't Queen as we know it. I think some things are best remembered as they once were, and Queen is one of them. I love Roger and Brian, but they have to let it go. |
brENsKi 17.12.2004 17:50 |
i think he's queen II. also he has missed another important point they won't be compared to "wembley stadium queen" - for one they will be touring much smaller places and secondly their setlist will be rockier/bluesier |
QUEEN11 18.12.2004 10:06 |
to penetration-guru not queen eleven...queen 11 as in the 2nd and one of the best queen albums they made...although most are great.. |

I just want to say one thing- Didn't read the fucking thing because of the caps lock. |
slightly mad 22 18.12.2004 15:55 |
i think it is just best let Queen as a live band be remembered for Live Aid and the 86 tour!!!! the former glory/magic will never be recaptured!! i'm still gonna check it out though!!! just hope it's more Queen than paul rodgers material!!! either go all out and try and repalce Freddie(undoable i know)or just leave it as it is!! and this is from someone who was 9 in 1986, who's parents would no take him to see them!! |

Fuck off. I'm sick of writing this. It's not up to you whether Bri and Rog tour. They just want to play for us fans who want to see them, if you don't want to see them then don't. |

Hi everybody. I think Brian and Roger were a half of Queen and they have the right to continue with the band. I like a lot No one but you and I think that there is a chemistry when they are together. I agree that Freddie was unique and irreplaceble. But Brian and Roger make great songs together so maybe it's better to make a record with Rodgers and if it's good they could make a tour too. |
brENsKi 19.12.2004 16:30 |
lord blackadder - i couldn't agree more!!! people like this think THEY have the ultimate veto over whther Brian and Roger carry on - who are these anally-fixated-small-minded people? they should let Brian and Roger get on with their lives/careers without passing judgement - Brian and Roger have a right to do what THEY want with the Queen label - Freddie said aS MUCH!!! These people who say otherwise are busybodies who should perhaps concentrate on living their own lives themselves instead of trying to live vicariously through the dream that is queen |

Queen is the best classic rock band to rock my world! |

Personally, I don't like the idea of Brian and Roger going on tour with Paul Rodgers and calling it "Queen + Paul Rodgers" anymore than others do. Anyway, the point is, even if we don't like the idea of them going on tour together, we would still go to see them, wouldn't we? Because there is part of the original Queen. Also, it's not like they are just calling it "Queen," so the band does know what opposition they are facing. |

while your at it,dont use your keyboard at all??that's nice aint it??i'm not being selfish,as ive seen original queen 13 times....if you's like the idea of brian & roger carrying on..then good for you.maybe you's were to young to see the real thing,i dont know..i'd probably say so,going with what your saying,a few of you's sound as if you's are still at school, bunch a kid's...the fact is now, queen are history..as much as i loved and still love them,i'd say..this is just like a queen tribute..with 2 original members.so what...brian should just realise,he's a total has been...should be ashamed of himself for not letting queen go...queen finished in 1991,it's now 2005..why he thinks it needs ressurecting again, god knows..even paul rodgers,a great artist,he does'nt need queen,he should be ashamed also...maybe brian & roger are just wanting to up there pension.... |

firstly..maybe i was wrong to say the age thing? it is good younger folk help keep the music alive,i myself also love the beatlres, and i was to young for them at the time....but cant help my thoughts on this tour...i admit, ive never been a fan of brian, outside queen, although i like roger...but groups like queen, the beatles jimi hendrix experiance, rolling stones..it's the original thing or nothing..you'll maybe understand that when your a bit older...in queen's case..there can only be one!!!they could never recreate what they did in the 70's/80's..no one could...and yes, paul rodgers is a great singer,i know a lot of free/bad company fan's who feel the same way....also...a lot of swearing there from a young lady...do your parents know you swear so much..happy new year..... |

I don't know what all the fuss is about. Tons of bands are still performing minus a few origional members: Styx, Lynyrd Skynyrd etc... what makes Queen any different? |
LadyMoonshineDown 01.01.2005 17:06 |
I hate it when people type in caps lock. It doesn't get the point across any further than it does typing like a normal person. With that said.... I reccomend that you take a chill pill. Cheers |

Well that is good to know, because I don't fit so well over here in Neo Con America. woo. Cheers |
