So, if there's going to be a "new" Queen, should we have to give away our expectations of more old material release?
I mean, if they're trying to promote the new band lineup it should be a bad marketing idea to release Hammersmith 79 or GVH3... they might rather release a new CD or DVD instead.
Just random thoughs...
i think that with the addition of a bad co/free band member then Queen may well be likely to head to a place somewhere between blues village and rock city
"I mean, if they're trying to promote the new band lineup"
It's not sure this is the new band line-up. The coming tour will be under the banner Queen + Paul Rodgers, he's not joining the band. We will see what the future brings us.
Brian and Roger will release some new material next year. Don't know if Paul will be involved in making the new material. Many of us expect some "new" material with Freddie's voice.
I know that there is at least one unfinished song with Freddie's vocals laid down. I don't believe that there is much (any?) more than that. I would expect new stuff to have Brian and Roger singing. If they do a complete album there may be guest singers, but I would be surprised if they replace Freddie with a new "permanent" singer.
you have to be joking - there's stacks of stuff that they can do a "let me live" type two/three lead vocals on
