| Daburcor? 17.12.2004 05:20 |
I'd very much like to hear "Long Away" with Brian on vocals and "Rock It (Prime Jive)" with Roger on vocals. |

| shambapoo 17.12.2004 11:21 |
I was lucky enough to see Queen many times and I also happened to see Brian and Paul at the Strat gig (they were excellent together). The Hall of Fame songs were even better and I cannot wait for Queen to be playing live again. All the "badge wearers" who feel they have more of a say over Queen and don't like it should get a fookin' life. It's a hell of a lot more worthwhile than the musical. Here's a list I'd like to see them choose from - only 47 from Queen's history and 13 from Paul Rodger's. I'm sure we'll enjoy most of what they play though. Hammer To Fall One Vision Now I'm Here Keep Yourself Alive Liar It's Late Innuendo Bohemian Rhapsody The Hero Fat Bottomed Girls You're My Best Friend Don't Stop Me Now Save Me Dead On Time Let Me Entertain You Father To Son Play The Game Too Much Love Will Kill You - would be interesting to hear it sung by Rodgers No-one But You Let Me Live Seven Seas Of Rhye We Are The Champions We Will Rock You fast Dragon Attack Doin' alright Rock It (prime jive) Stone Cold Crazy I Want It All My Melancholy Blue Spread Your Wings Put Out The Fire '39 In the Lap Of The Gods Sleeping On The Sidewalk Great King Rat Sweet Lady One Year Of Love - rocked up Bad Company style could be great Need Your Lovin' Tonight Tie Your Mother Down Headlong Long Away You And I White Man Jailhouse Rock See What A Fool I've been Silver Salmon!!!!! Son and Daughter Paul Rodgers - Can't Get Enough Of Your Love Wishing Well Fire and Water Lying In The Sunshine The Hunter Don't Say You Love Me Be My Friend Mr Big Come Together In The Morning My Brother Jake Little Bit Of Love Travelling Man All Right Now Songs I wouldn't play (not because I don't like them but because others may work better and they can't play for 5 hours!) Killer Queen (unless done as a medley) Another One Bites The Dust Crazy Little Thing Called Love Somebody To Love We Will Rock You A Kind Of Magic Under Pressure Radio Ga Ga I Want To Break Free Who Wants To Live Forever The Show Must Go On So I've not exactly been picky in the first list, but if they picked from that list I'd be delerious. |
| deleted user 17.12.2004 11:25 |
god you have a long list !! |
| JDL2nd 17.12.2004 11:32 |
Well, this should be the setlist in my opinion : "It's a beatiful day" as INTRO 1. Tie your mother down 2. Headlong 3. No-one but you 4. Play the game 5. Somebody to love 6. I'm in love with my car (Roger) 7. Stone Cold Grazy 8. Save my 9. Now I'm here 10. Put Out the fire 11. Sleeping on the sidewalk (Brian) 12. Keep Yourself alive (including guitar /drumsolo) 13. "39 14. These are the days of our lives 15. Under Pressure 16. Fatbottemed girls 17. White man 18. Grazy little thing called love 19. Hammer to fall 20. Radio Ga Ga (Roger) 21. I want it all 22. The Show must go on 23. We will rock you 24. We are the champions 25. God save the queen ** I think they should not do "Bohemian Rhapsody because it's really a "Freddie thing " |
| moonie 17.12.2004 11:49 |
As well as all the obvious stuff, Shooting Star by Bad Co would sound great with Rog on backing vox. |
| Hankster 17.12.2004 11:56 |
@ JDL2nd and I think they shouldn't play Stone Cold Crazy, Keep Yourself Alive, These Are The Days Of Our Life, Under Pressure and White Queen, because those aren't songs Paul can handle very well IMO. and Crazy Little Thing Called Love .. speaking about a real 'Freddie thing' .. and since Amsterdam I really hate No-One But You live. But, for the old Queen, this whould be an awsome tracklist! |
| JDL2nd 17.12.2004 15:21 |
@ Hankster , I understand your comment. It's nice to see that people actualy read my stuff. My question for you is : What would be your perfect setlist for the new tour ? |
| JDL2nd 17.12.2004 15:26 |
Eey Hankster, ook een Nederlander ??? Groetuh, JDL |
| Hankster 17.12.2004 15:28 |
ja, ik ben ook een Nederlander :) .. zijn er best veel hier geloof ik .. at the first page I posted this tracklist; 1. Intro Innuendo (Freddie) 2. One Vision 3. Headlong 4. Wishing Well 5. It’s A Beautiful Day / Breakthru 6. Driven By You (Brian) 7. Can't Get Enough 8. Somebody To Love 9. Sail Away Sweet Sister (Brian) 10. Guitar Extravagance / Midtro Innuendo 11. Now I’m Here 12. Love Of My Life (Freddie - Live at Wembley '86) 13. Shooting Star 14. ‘39 15. Tutti Frutti 16. Allright Now 17. Need Your Loving Tonight 18. Bohemian Rhapsody 19. Tie Your Mother Down 20. Hammer To Fall 21. Outro Innuendo (Freddie) encore 22. The Show Must Go On (Freddie) 23. Radio Ga Ga (Roger) 24. I Want It All 25. We Will Rock You 26. Heaven For Everyone 27. We Are The Champions 28. God Save The Queen About the tracks where Freddie 'sings', I was thinking of a big screen with him singing and than the band plays the music life on stage .. I would love to see that :) |
| English Bowman 17.12.2004 15:29 |
I saw Brian and Roger do No One But You at the 10th Aniversary Freddie Tribute, and it was brilliant, I'd like to see that. I would also like them to play Bo Rap, and put the video up for the operatic section, that way Freddie would apear. I would also like them to open the show with a video of Freddie as they did on the Tribute concert, but I doubt that they will. As for a set list I'd have to think about it, but it would include Hammer To Fall, All Right Now, Tie Your Mother Down, Can't Get Enough, I Want It All, and would have to end with WWRY and WATC. before God Save The Queen. Dan |
| JDL2nd 17.12.2004 15:44 |
People, I am sorry to say it but I don't think that some of the tracklists above (or at the other page) this reaction are very good. Queen always started with a fast song. In the middle maybe a acoustic song . And during the concert they worked to a culminating point. I don't see that in many of your tracklists. |
| boy of destiny 17.12.2004 16:57 |
It's Late Sleeping on the Sidewalk Fat Bottomed Girls All three would work with Paul Rodgers voice. |
| redyfredy01 17.12.2004 19:06 |
i want them to play Fight From the Inside because Roger sings it well. Hmmmmmm...... I also want them to play It's Late abd Who Needs You, i know they are all from News of the World, but i love that C.D. |
| MercuryArts 17.12.2004 20:55 |
Well as far as Bad Co. songs that can be revamped w/ some Queen stylings yet still be a B.C. sounding song would have to be "Silver, Blue, & Gold", beautiful song. I don't want to hear Ga Ga, UP, WWTLF, IWTBF, or Magic anywhere near that set list. We have heard them more than enough in a live setting. There are much better songs to play in they're places. And when playing Bo Rhap, which they will, I say let Paul play the piano part and and the voclas be sung only by the crowd. I saw Page do that on Staiway in 88 as the encore. It was awesome. |
| goinback 17.12.2004 22:08 |
I wanna see "Get Down, Make Love" too! That is one of the coolest live songs ever...I dunno why everybody seems to hate it lately.... And yeah "Long Away" would be a nice surprise. It would be cool if they had Freddie doing the "Day-O" thing on the screens like at the Tribute concert as well. I bet they will do "Sleeping On The Sidewalk" definitely since Brian has played that lately.... |
| mike hunt 17.12.2004 22:11 |
great song, i agree, i have no clue why anyone would that song down, actually i never knew the song wasn't well liked until i seen this site. |
| Melancholy Blues 18.12.2004 03:01 |
the millionaire waltz, though as freddie is the only person who could sing it well it's probably better if they don't play, i just think is't a really great song, it reminds me a bit of bohemian rhapsody. apart from that i think one vision and i want it all would be great. |
| Hankster 18.12.2004 03:14 |
How much we would like to hear great songs like Get Down, It's late, and not songs like IWTBF and Ga Ga (Personally, I would love to hear those 2; The Works is my favo Queen CD), we have to remember that this is a concert not just for the fans, but also for the people who just know the greatest hits cd's .. |
| goinback 18.12.2004 03:53 |
...which is why songs like that should be on the Greatest Hits CDs in the first place (though sadly I agree with you). Get Down and It's Late got airplay on the FM stations in the '70s, so there's no reason why they shouldn't be on there. They were radio hits even though they weren't singles (though Get Down was much more popular). I'm surprised lately at how many people here in the US still actually remember Get Down when I play it on the jukebox :) But the Greatest Hits CDs sure aren't helping...they're killing off the rock songs that made Queen famous here in the US. Then people wonder why Queen's image is of a mainstream pop band now. I actually get the feeling Queen is ashamed of their '70s stuff now for some reason.... |
| queenrocks! 10902 18.12.2004 06:48 |
All the songs from the Miracle/Innuendo/Made In Heaven albums and if any some new material |
| bolan 18.12.2004 07:34 |
I don't think that they will end with WWRY and WATC coz they don't want it to seem too Freddie-ish. I think they will do the songs from the Miracle, Innuendo, Made in Heaven and some solo stuff as many of these haven't been played live by Queen as a band. I think Paul will be good at The Show must go on Let Me Live The Miracle Friends Will Be Friends Save Me Crazy Little Thing called Love |
| bleeding heart show 18.12.2004 08:13 |
In no order.... Resurrection Great King Rat Ride the wild wind I can't live with out you (Rocks version) Dont stop me now Princes of the universe Death on two legs White Queen March of the black queen Killer Queen Somebody to love I want to break free Under pressure Headlong The show must go on Sheer heart attack Scandal Breakthru It's late Bohemian rhapsody Hijack my heart You don't fool me Mother love Stone cold crazy Fat bottomed girls too much love will kill you NEW GUITAR SOLO I hope and i really HOPE all the songs will be reworked to go with today's music standards (Rock music wise of course) I don't wanna hear the same old versions live again. |

Like you would even have a choice in the matter! |
| deleted user 18.12.2004 17:07 |
yeh thats true .. we wouldnt get a say, but its great if they play the ones we like! |
| goinback 18.12.2004 19:18 |
Something like "The Prophet's Song" would be quite a surprise...it would be something to see Paul Rodgers standing there singing that middle part :) |
| nibznik 19.12.2004 22:06 |
tie your mother down, and i would say love of my life but that was sortof freddies thing so spread your wings as well |
