I'm quite interested to know how far and how much $$$ people are planning/willing to invest to see "Queen"/etc in 2005. It'd also give a good indication of poeple's general interest levels. |
Borhap80 13.12.2004 11:05 |
I guess they wont come to Scandinavia so both England and Germany is interesting... I need a planeticket, hotell, concert ticket and food.... About 300 pounds maybe... |
deleted user 13.12.2004 11:07 |
Oh, I think they will travel to Scandinavia (the real band "Queen" always did...) |
Fenderek 13.12.2004 11:34 |
I'm sure they'll play London but I'll aim at all UK dates... |
Spud 13.12.2004 12:27 |
Hopefully only about 15 minutes on the tube. |
deleted user 13.12.2004 12:36 |
Well if there playing in London and its not a huge amount of money to see them then i might go. |
Mayboy 13.12.2004 12:46 |
Im sure Wembley Arena or London somewhere will be on the tour dates which wont be a problem for me, just a 45 min train ride :) |
Pluto 13.12.2004 12:56 |
from the usa if i can talk my family into a trip this summer. |
deleted user 13.12.2004 13:16 |
If I can find anybody here in L.A. wants to join me, or meet up and form a group. So long as it won't be on the East coast. |
Mr Coolest Cat 13.12.2004 13:33 |
Bugger traveling, done all that in 1977, 78, 79, 82, 84, and 86, its either Nottingham, Sheffield, Birmingham or Manchester for me, all within 90 mins. |
viva la roger 13.12.2004 14:28 |
If they don't come to the states im gonna have to get over my fear of flying and catch the closest gig. But if they plan on coming to the US im willing to drive anywhere to see them. |
Pim Derks 13.12.2004 14:46 |
If I have the money, I'd go to Paris/London. I'm from the Netherlands. I hope to see as much gigs as possible :P |
Sonja 13.12.2004 14:55 |
Pim Derks wrote: If I have the money, I'd go to Paris/London. I'm from the Netherlands. I hope to see as much gigs as possible :PI'm sure they'll do Germany so you can probably include that, too! I wouldn't go abroad to see them. Germany yes and depending on the ticket prices I'd go to Berlin or Munich or wherever they intend to play in Germany. |
Sicmot 13.12.2004 14:59 |
They must come to finland!! its been darn 29 yrs since they last visited here.. |
deleted user 13.12.2004 15:59 |
I'm in the US and I'm willing to spend every last cent I have on a trip to Europe for this tour (I never got to see Queen live before) Does anyone know if the Fan Club will be offering advanced tix sales to its members? |
Spiderleg Synthia 14.12.2004 02:22 |
Damn, kinda wish I'd joined now... |
rachael mae. 14.12.2004 02:40 |
I'm pretty much willing to go anywhere that they play. London wouldn't be much of a problem for me. |
the-rock 4283 14.12.2004 03:37 |
If they are near (up to 200km)... and depending on the ticket prices. (it would be a differnt thing if somebody wouldn't be missing...) on the other hand i think the venues won't be too big... |
Mr. Scully 14.12.2004 04:07 |
Considering the several bad experiences this year... I'd probably travel only to Germany, Austria or UK (if close to some airport). |
YourValentine 14.12.2004 04:41 |
Roger mentioned Germany, so I hope there will be a gig close to my area. If not, I travel as far as I have to - it cannot be worse than London (no Brian) or Benidorm (no concert). |
eggy 14.12.2004 04:56 |
There could be another lovely QZ meeting in the Cock, Hackney! I'm sure they'll play London, so i'll have a 25 minute train journey. Although cannot say i'm over excited by this whole gig thing, although maybe that will come later. Suppose it jogged my memory of this place when I saw the news, which might be a good thing. |
YourValentine 14.12.2004 05:05 |
Welcome back, eggy:) I am all for a new QZ meeting anytime, any place. Email me or visit the chat room:) |

I already warned people in my company: I'm gonna take several holidays in april-may... I'm willing to travel across the Europe and attending as more concerts as I can, according with time and money. I'm already looking for other fans who want to share this experience of travelling together... despite I'm not completely glad of the choice of touring as "Queen", with Paul Rodgers and so on, I have to admit that it's gonna be maybe the last chance to follow my fave band's tour... |
Hank H. 14.12.2004 05:24 |
If they only play the songs from the old tours, I'd only travel if they also had the ticket prices of the old tour! :-) Honestly, I don't think I want to travel further than 200 km. |
Regor 14.12.2004 05:58 |
On Sunday night in Cologne Rog talked to us fans waiting outside and confirmed that they'll be playing germany. And as the musical is playing in cologne and we have Europes largest IndoorArena (if it still is) with the 19.000-Seater Kölnarena, it'll be a train-ride of about 15 Minutes for me... and they are still huge here in germany, so I'm sure it will be a sell-out ! But I'd also travel to Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich... I'd travel to Tokyo to see them ! |
Lord Blackadder 14.12.2004 06:47 |
All of you come to Manchester. We'll all get pissed and talk about how good Queen are, then we can watch them, then go and get pissed somemore and storm on stage and do our own Queen gig, I'm Brian... |
Spiderleg Synthia 14.12.2004 08:14 |
Yay! QZ meetups! finally, a chance to meet my fellow zoner... |
iGSM 14.12.2004 08:22 |
*shakes fists at Brian and Roger* Not out of Australia. I'm hoping Richard will do that and bring back alllllllllllllll the goodies. All of them! |
deleted user 14.12.2004 08:28 |
Only 15 mins on the tube, hopefully. But I'd pretty much go anywhere anyway. |
Fenderek 14.12.2004 08:30 |
I'd love to meet you guys! QZ meeting before gig sounds AWESOME! |

I don't think they will come to my country.. And I AM going to go to another country just to see them.. I have to !! This is maby my only chance to see them live :) (But I have to get my parents permission first :/, But I will try as hard as I can :D But that will be expencive... To flight from Iceland to other countries is TOO expensive :( |
Lisser 14.12.2004 15:05 |
I'm going where ever I have to go but I prefer to see them in England some where. I hope I can get tickets to a London show. How much do you all think each ticket will cost? |
JDL2nd 14.12.2004 17:01 |
Well, I live in Maastricht, in The Netherlands. It's not so far away from Germany and Belgium. I guess The Netherlands, Belgium and a part of Germany are OK for my. I'm a drummer so I can't wait to see my idol, the best rock drummer : Roger Taylor |
Bob The Shrek 14.12.2004 17:09 |
'I'm a drummer so I can't wait to see my idol, the best rock drummer......' Oh!!!! Are Rush coming back to London???? Roger, best rock drummer - LMAO |

I am willing to travel from the easter United States to wherever in Europe. Willing to spend up to $7,500-8,000 on one or multiple trips. By the way... ATTENTION AMERICAN FANS Hey everyone. I am as excited as everyone else over Brian and Roger's decision to tour under the Queen guise with Paul Rodgers. I saw the show in Las Vegas, after the premiere of WWRY - the story, pictures of the concert and me with Brian at link I fully intend on making my way to wherever in Europe to see them play. I have travelled to most of the larger European cities and should be able to find my way around fairly well and communicate, depending. Brings me to my point. Although I could make it on my own, it would be much cheaper to have another Queen fan come along. I believe my best friend will also come along. This means that any accomodations, any expenses could, in theory, be split 3 ways. The plane tickets to get to Europe will be strictly up to the three of us, separately. If you would be interested in meeting up either in the eastern US, then travelling to the show together OR meeting up in whichever European city the show(s) take place, let me know. This would possibly make a trip a bit more affordable and easier for someone unfamiliar with Europe and/or needs a little help with the cost of the trip. My email address and instant messenger contact info is at the bottom of this posting. Serious inquiries only, please. Any plans will be tentative until a tour schedule is planned, in which case I will begin making concrete travel plans and begin finding and buying tickets to the shows. I may very well go more than once, or hang out in Europe and do a bit of touring with the boys. Hope to hear from you guys! Jordan addict015@yahoo.com addict015 - AIM and Yahoo instant messenger |

Well, I should imagine Manchester and Birmingham shall be announced so ill go to both. Manchester is 30 mins in the car and Birmingham is 40 mins so im happy. Guesses per date... £20 train for the day £30 ticket (or thereabouts) £50 beer money! All in all, not too bad. |
karen 14.12.2004 19:06 |
Yeah, iGSM, I am sick that they haven't planned to come to Australia. But there is always hope... If they come down under I will go to any state, or New Zealand, and pay anything for a ticket. You lucky buggers over there on the other side of the world - make sure you go & support our Queen!!! |
Casper Albers 15.12.2004 07:01 |
I'm planning on seeing all gigs that are "not too far". My definition of "not too far" depends a bit on how many gigs they give in The Netherlands. I hope Brian enjoyed his 1998 show in Groningen so much, he wants to come back once more. Then I'll can bike to the concert (I can even take my bike with me, so I can ring the bell during Bicycle Race :p). And Brian can't say Groningen isn't big enough for Queen; The Stones were here too (and they did bring their original singer ;)). But I think I'll visit all Dutch and Belgian shows, and all shows in the area Hamburg/Bremen/Cologne, maybe also Paris :) |
The Mir@cle 15.12.2004 07:10 |
Another Groninger here.... Welcome Casper. Heb veel diverdoatsie op deze Notice Board ;-) |

My guess is tickets will be very similar to Bowie's last tour. Play around Wembley and cost from £35 to £50 per ticket. They aren't just reforming for the fun of it, there must be tax bill to pay soon!! |
mr bad guy 5656 15.12.2004 17:16 |
And how about Belgium? |
Mrs.Taylor 15.12.2004 18:16 |
IF they came to Sheffield Arena, it would be a bus and a tram-ride, about an hour each way. And that would be the cheapest part of the evening. If, on the other hand, they played somewhere compact and bijou like the Leadmill, I could walk there and back. |
SergeantPepperDG 15.12.2004 18:20 |
Considering I only have, oh... $110, I could probably get 1/8 of the way across the Atlantic. |
electric.fire 13630 15.12.2004 19:15 |
How far would I travel - To the end of time - is that far enough?? Seriously, It is my intention to go to at least every UK show with my friends and probably a couple of European ones also. |
wstüssyb 15.12.2004 23:29 |
depends...I might fly in for 2 days and go see 1 one show, depending on how much tickets are Germany seems to be my number 1 choice, simply cuz some one here will give me free place to stay lol ( I hope lol ) |
YourValentine 16.12.2004 08:55 |
Definitely, William :) |
Lapetsu 16.12.2004 09:13 |
I'm sure that they won't come to Finland, but if they go to Sweden, maybe I can go! And I really want to see them but I'm just 14 and I have strict parents. |
QUEENCHICK4EVA 16.12.2004 10:26 |
If Queen come to scotland i would be willing to pay up to £600 to go and see them after all i know it wont be the same as it was wen Freddie was around but it still would be interesting to see how they can cope since they have not toured since 19th August '86. hopefully they will come to edinburgh..... |

WELL AS FAR AS MY MONEY WILL TAKE ME. ALSO HOW THE TIX WILL BE. BUT, I HAVE CHECKOUT MY MAN ROGER TAYLOR |

As long as death doesn't strike, I will definitely be crossing the pond to see as many shows as I can. Sure, I can catch them here in the fall, but the atmosphere here will be nothing like their British, German, and Dutch concerts. The idea of QZers meeting up before a gig or two is a fabulous idea. I'm in! |
FriedChicken 18.12.2004 01:24 |
me too bob :) |
