It's talking a lot about P.Rodgers but... what's the name of the bassist of the "new" Queen? and also, they have got some second-guitarist and keyboardman? In other words, how it's composed the group? |
John S Stuart 12.12.2004 18:24 |
Not John Entwistle. |
Serry... 12.12.2004 18:30 |
Neil Murray and Spike Edney, I suppose... And Jaime Moises... And back-vocal girls... And Justin Shirley-Smith would mix the live sounds... And maybe some guys from local WWRY cast... |

Only rumours, as well. I simply thought it was likely though, because he did the HOF-gig with them. |

There is no new Queen bass-player. Because Queen is dead since 1991. And Brian + Roger would probably never have made it without meeting Freddie in 1970 |

Telling someone to fuck off in every thread you post in bc you don't share their opinion is not an effective means of communication nor does it add to any interesting representation of your opinions on Queen brought up on this topic (run on sentence). We are all on this notice board to display our opinons and knowledge of Queen. Is that why you are here? Turd boy is my nicest way to tell you that you are being a shit. It's so clear that Freddie, Roger, Brian and John often said that Queen was only alive with its four original members .... but some fans seem to ignore all these talk still. |
mike hunt 13.12.2004 19:05 |
brian never said they would never work as queen again, he said queen will never be as we new it, paul will never take freds place, it's queen + paul rodgers, like how it was queen + david bowie or queen + goerge michael, their not in queen, their just working with them, there's a difference. |
Serry... 13.12.2004 19:13 |
Difference is that Bowie worked with four members of Queen, George with three, and Paul would work with two... I can imagine how in 2008 John Deacon would play with his 6 kids under 'Queen' name then... |
mike hunt 13.12.2004 19:26 |
the bottom line for me is, john is a big part of this, if he doesn't return i might have to agree with some of the critics. |

It's unlikely to be Pino Palladind, because, if recording goes well for The Who this week and they can formulate some good new material, they will be touring in the Spring and Pino is contracted to them. Having just had a tribute from Pete Townshend on his receipt of an award at the weekend, he's unlikely to try to buy himself out of the contarct either. My favourite would be Andy Fraser. That would then make 50% Queen and 50% Free - the set will not be exclusively Queen and to lend it a shred of credibility, having another member of Free woudl balance things out. Sad fact is that we will have to put up with 3 or 4 backing singers, the hopeless Jamie Moses and the hapless Spike Edney - as opposed to Brian, Roger, Paul and A N Other bass player |

Queen + George michael was: Brian May Roger Taylor JOHN DEACON! and George Michael There's a bunch of people asking if they can use Queen's name WITHOUT John. I guess we all agree if brian roger and john were on tour wit P.Rodgers to use the name Queen The Difference is that John is NOT on tour with them as in every Queen + Somebody |

I think John Deacon is replaceable. I think he was a great bassplayer but he didn't show everything he got. His playing was far too simple. I hope for a new great bassplayer with more volume. Conclusion : I don't miss him |

i doubt john needs much more money, considering he penned the groups only number 1 hit in the US. i have to agree with the pessimists here. queen without freddie, well, that's too bad, but there is no getting around it. without john, when john is alive, thats just not queen in my opinion. you’ve heard them say it in a million ways a million times, one of their greatest strengths as a group was that they were the original lineup (save for some small period in the beginning stages). during the tribute concert brian emphatically stated there is no queen without freddie, and i held that statement with the utmost respect. |

For every gig Brian and Roger take part of, John gets a part of it I believe. So.... earn money for doing nothing! Also for every DVD Queen sells, John strikes some bucks or pounds. |

Roger, Brian and john not interested in money? So that would account for them putting on a musical that is netting them a nice hefty cash balance at the bank every month and allowing the use of material like WWRY for the Pepsi ad and the re-issueing of the back catalogue every christmas? Of course they are interested in money - they live lifestyles that demand their attention to money. The houses they live in and the cars they drive; the people they employ and the families they support. I never fail to be amazed by Queen fans you know - it's the only band that have people behind them that believe their heroes can do absolutely no wrong and that the love of the music is their only motivator. Professional people at this level are greedy buy nature, simply because in order to maintain their standard of living, they have to continue to make the kind of money that keeps them there. |
