I was talking to a friend on the train tonight about how today's music sucks compared to the 60s and 70s. She grew up being a big Beatle fan and I told her I was a big Queen Fan. Anyway, she told me her daughter's wedding song was "Your My Best Friend" and then chuckled about the song because
she heard that "Best Friend" referred to cocaine.
This is a first for me, anyone hear of this?
I've never heard that. I guess the lyrics could be about cocaine, but it's kind of a stretch. I mean, John's always said it was about his wife. I think people just love to look for hidden meanings. Whether there actually is a hidden meaning, though, is a different story! :)

Well I don't think he has said that, specifically. Usually it's a 'Who was 'You're My Best Friend' written for?' and he says 'Possibly Veronica'..so it could be about cocaine.
Or Veronica too.
yah everybody says everything is about drugs these days. It's a conspiracy I tell you! Parents wanting to have a reason to ban their children from listening to Queen! Lol What am I saying?
