Sorry, i needed a space to rant..
I really hate all the recent "re-hashing" of Queen material.
I mean, i understand it's good for keeping the legacy alive, and making the Queen catalouge availible for today's new fans...but COME ON!!!
How many versions and updates does one need of Greatest Hits albums??!!!
This is not ment to slam Queen, but it's getting annoying having the same stuff i already own multiple times over keep getting "re-issued" ( more like re-hashed in my mind) and touted as "new" when any self-respecting Queen Fan can see as plain as day IT'S NOT!!!
(pant pant....pant...)
Sorry....i needed to vent. I feel better now.
Anyone else notice this rehash trend and are getting tired of it?
Try being a Who fan - they've had their fair share of compilation albums over the years, usually about every two years or so.
Or The Rolling Stones, who released crappy compilations and even crappier live albums.
I agree that Queen seems to be drowning in compilations, but it's not as bad as you think.

It's bound to happen. Think of others and not ourselves alone.
Don't get me wrong 'cos I love 'em but nothing's worse than Kiss. Every year they release some sort of compilation, whether live or greatest hits.
Kiss Alive
Kiss Alive II
Kiss Alive III
Kiss Alive IV
You Wanted The Best, You Got The Best
Double Platinum
Kiss Killers
Greatest Kiss
Smashes, Thrashes & Hits
Millenium Collection Vol. 1
Millenium Collection Vol. 2
Kiss Gold 1973-1980
Box Set
The Very Best Of Kiss
How many times do we need "Rock & Roll All Night"?!?...LOL

And they never put "Athena" on any of them. That's my favorite Who song. And considering it made the Top 30 in the U.S., I never understood why they always leave that one off.
